The Opportunity 

Ford is undergoing a significant transformation. The movement of Ford to a
software and services company is evident in our core business as well as new and
emerging areas such as Ford Pro, an industry first, global commercial vehicle
distribution and service business focused on improving productivity for
customers. To support these initiatives, Ford must think beyond and work
differently to support the transition to a software focused business including
simplification and modernization of our industrial processes and systems.  As
CEO Jim Farley has stated, Ford’s Industrial System is in need of a
transformation that drives simplicity, agility defragmentation and modernization
across the ecosystem. 

The Strategy & Integration Manager, as a member of the Industrial System IT
(ISIT) leadership team, will play a key role in establishing the strategy and
integrated roadmap for the end-to-end ecosystem of the industrial system across
Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Safety &
Sustainability. This role works alongside the senior leadership of this
organization and driving change and transformation across all portfolios. 

The Team 

This role reports to Global IT Director Industrial System and will be a part of
her leadership team. A small team of direct and matrix staff will report into
this role. Rekha is responsible for a team of ~2000 people and leads the global
IT function for automotive engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and quality
processes. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

The Position 

The Strategy & Integration manager will partner with Rekha to establish a vision
and roadmap to transform and modernize our processes, systems, and data across
the industrial system. The role responsibilities will include: 

 * Bring in an outside-in perspective of the emerging industry processes and
   systems across all the industrial functions 
 * Understand the current state of Ford’s automotive processes and provide an
   assessment and gap analysis 
 * Define the shifts required for Ford to compete in win with a modern and
   simplified industrial system technology landscape
 * Drive cross functional initiatives across the ISIT organization
 * Partner effectively with the enterprise architects to define an integrated
   systems portfolio that seamlessly connects the end-to-end ecosystem 
 * Manage the organization’s financial, resource, and scope planning
   administration as well as risk/issue resolution and value delivery (KPIs) 
 * Define and managing a robust IT sourcing strategy and execution plan, aligned
   with the corporate guidelines 
 * Align the end-to-end solution strategy with enterprise architecture, cyber
   security, and infrastructure 
 * Execute demand management and governance for annual and quarterly planning
   cycles, including re-prioritization based on changing business needs 
 * Manage stakeholder relationships across leaders in the Industrial System and
   related domains 
 * Prepare and deliver executive updates and presentations for operational
   updates, organizational accomplishments to objectives, strategy, and roadmap
   etc. 
 * Plan, organize and execute leadership offsites, meeting and events
 * Execute certain administrative functions and special assignments for the
   Industrial System IT Leadership


QUALIFICATIONS

The Person 

The successful candidate will have the following experiences and skills:

 * Domain expertise in the Industrial System domain areas and the end-to-end
   ecosystem
 * Demonstrated expertise in strategic thinking, execution excellence and peer
   collaboration 
 * Inclusive leadership style with the ability to lead through influence and
   build meaningful relationships at all levels and functions of the
   organization
 * Strong knowledge and experiences with mature and emerging technologies in the
   PLM, MRP, MES, Supply Chain functions
 * Demonstrated ability to balance the operational excellence of the
   organization with enabling the long-term vision and success
 * Executive presence, be able to work cross-functionally, in a matrixed
   environment and have experience in a large multi-national company
 * Most important, the successful leader will exhibit the Ford+ behaviors and
   work diligently and ethically each day to help achieve success of the Ford+
   plan
