For the past 40 years, Star Wars fans have been immersed in George Lucas'
universe. Given the longevity of the Star Wars series There's no shortage of
merchandise available for fans to indulge in their obsessions. From to a
Millennium Falcon bed to a R2-D2 sock robot There are lots of options to satisfy
the Star Wars fan in your life. Certain toys are more rare than others, for
instance those from the first era of toys that were in high demand in the days
of Star Wars. Vintage toys are more valuable than the reissued ones since they
were designed with the same care and quality collectors value today.

Toymakers were mindful of the importance of playing with immersive toys when
they designed the action figures that would eventually become a cultural
phenomenon. For example, many of the first line's characters were equipped with
double-telescoping lightsabers. These disappeared into a channel carved into
Luke, Darth, and Obi-Wan's arms when not in use. When Star Wars Fridge Magnet
-telescoping light-saber harmed an infant, Kenner changed its design to make it
less expensive and easier. It resulted in a tiny number of figures that had
double-telescoping capabilities, which are highly valued because they are rare.

The documentary also focuses on rare toys that were prototypes, like a Bib
Fortuna action figurine that was graded by professionals and was auctioned off
at a price of more than $31,000. This is one of the two instances of the figure
that are known to exist- the other was auctioned off in 2017.

The documentary also examines reproductions of classic Star Wars toys made for
children during the 1980s and 1990s. For instance, a Mace Windu toy from the
Power of the Force 2 series and the Weequay Sciff Guard Freeze Frame from The
Phantom Menace. Not only are the toys popular, but so are the packaging and
other accessories that go with them. For https://rentry.co/uitqr , some European
packaging of figures featured French, English, and Spanish printed on it (we're
still not sure the meaning of that).

In the final chapter of the document as the doc closes, we can see some very
rare Star Wars toys from Brazil, which were sold in 1985 and have since become
worth a lot of money. Vlix is a rare 2.25" action figure from the brief-lived
Droids TV show. Even casual Star Wars fans might not know about his existence.
The figure was initially produced wearing the cape made of vinyl, but was later
revamped to be more affordable and durable with a woven robe. This model has
become an avid collector's "holy high-end" and includes an unopened figure and
sealed, which is expected to fetch over $185K in 2020.

It's a fascinating review of the way in which the Star Wars line has evolved and
how even small changes can create the appearance of a collectible. Although it
is clear that newer toys, especially the ones from the sequel trilogy do not
have the glitz of their predecessors they still possess their own charm. If you
want to pick up a set of legacy lightsabers that you can discover in Dok Ondar's
Den of Antiquities in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, make sure you act quickly as
they're a limited editions.
