Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Fashion Commission has partnered with Marangoni
Institute to launch the “Digital Fashion Program” to train 100 Saudi designers
on creative digital skills.

The program will be presented virtually for five months. Marangoni Institute is
internationally recognized as one of the finest schools for art, design and
fashion.

The program will focus on the development of the fashion industry and the design
processes with innovative technologies, the use of the Clo3D digital fashion
design program to design prototypes of clothes and accessories, learning the
mechanism of creating realistic 3D digital fashion, and the use of graphics to
host virtual fashion shows.

By the end of the program, participants will be able to create realistic fashion
elements digitally using 3D modeling, as well as master rendering techniques,
which enhances designers' ability to modify fashion designs and produce them in
an optimal way compared to traditional design.

CEO of the Fashion Commission Burak Cakmak said: “Providing Saudi designers with
innovative skills needed to thrive in today’s fashion world is key to our
success at the Fashion Commission.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to continue our long-standing
partnership with Marangoni Institute as we prepare our designers for the future
of fashion.”

The digital fashion program will contribute to reducing waste resulting from
textile manufacturing. It will allow collaboration with designers from all over
the world.
