Treasure Data is being used to create a unified customer view across first-party

for higher-performing targeted audiences and activations.

PROS AND CONS

 * Catalog of existing integrations
 * End-user friendly segment definitions and queries
 * Predictive and cluster models
 * High up-time and operations response times

 * Unified customer reporting view
 * Log details and operations debugging

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

[Treasure Data is well suited for] integrating multiple data sources, including

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

Across the whole organization. Solves the problem of not having a central source
of truth about all aspects of a customer and their journey across our digital
and offline properties.

PROS AND CONS

 * Data aggregation.
 * Profile enrichment.
 * Data processing time.

 * Implementation.
 * Onboarding.
 * Customer support.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Good for high-volume sites and multiple data sources. Can connect to the major
players in the publishing and e-commerce space.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

Just during the implementation phase, we discovered multiple data sources that
we were not using effectively. That would probably be the case no matter which
CDP we implemented, but nevertheless, it opened our eyes. Most importantly, it's
helped reinforce that we have so many opportunities when we are able to segment
our profiles based on 1PD data.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

It's our central platform to collect, transform and organize consumer data to
make it available for marketing segmentation and BI. That data comes from a
variety of sources and formats. This platform is used to abstract all
infrastructure implementation from our development, giving us a full stack place
to work with data.

PROS AND CONS

 * Easy to start.
 * Support
 * Integrations read to use.

 * Lack of flexibility.
 * Not clear on all technical limitations.
 * Graphical interface is slow.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

That was a good platform to create a worldwide read product in a short time. It
was easy to start, as it cares about all infrastructure and gives us a ready to
use place to develop our dataflows. The issue is where all that easiness turns
into a lack of flexibility.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

The initial target of the Treasure Data deployment was to end the existence of
data silos, creating this central point to collect, store and make consumer data
available. For this kind of use case, Treasure Data is perfect.
We now see all local teams using the same product to drive their marketing
campaigns.

 * It is pretty fast working with big data.

 * I think maybe the structure, like its not possible to create tables with
   specific fields.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

I do not see where it is less appropriate to use it, anyone that needs to store
data, Treasure Data seems like a gold choice.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

I think it does, I know that a lot of marketers use our data in Treasure Data to
make decisions.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

Treasure Data has helped us unify our dis-parent consumer data in over 50
markets. This assists us in building real-time behavioral audiences, improved
reporting, safeguarding data privacy, and improving activation/execution into
channels. With [...] leadership and customization, we are [...] driving ongoing
cost savings, media efficiency, media effectiveness, and a better view [of] our
consumers.

PROS AND CONS

 * Unifiy disparate data sets and sources
 * Analysis and understanding of data and reporting
 * Safeguarding data privacy and improving activating into channels (Social,
   Media and Email)

 * Improvements in the user interface
 * Simplification of segmentation for business (non-technical) users

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Treasure Data is well suited to integrate all consumer data from disparate data
sets, build real-time audiences based on behavior, connect to different channels
to drive execution, and safeguard a company’s consumer data for privacy and
governance. It is not used to actually distribute content for marketing purposes
or build marketing automation journeys.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

Treasure Data is a key product in my technology stack to become a more
data-driven company. Assisting in building a real 360 view of our customer and
consumer to use in marketing automation and media activation. This has driven
large data [...] centric transformation at my company and has driven a positive
return on media efficiency and effectiveness.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

We are using the platform across the whole organization. They're helping us to
be compliant against 1st party data usage, and also to be more effective about
digital media spent using our owned data to impact the right consumers, or to
find people like them.
Even though it is not directly related to the Digital Media spent, being
compliant against 1st party data usage keeps the company protected against law
issues and bills that depending on the size of your business, can reach billions
of dollars.

PROS AND CONS

 * Scalability.
 * Security.
 * Integrations.
 * Ease of use.
 * Support.

 * User experience.
 * Reporting.
 * Real time data availability.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

They helped us a lot to shut down consumer data silos around the globe in a very
safe and compliant way. Also are supporting our digital marketing strategies
around the globe.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

The main impact overall is, there is no one in the company creating digital
products, or points of interaction with consumers without integrating it with
Treasure Data.
Also, marketing teams are starting to focus more on Consumer Data to pick up
insights and details about audiences before launching campaigns in digital
media.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

We use Treasure Data as our primary storage and processing facility for the
volumes of event data that our company receive daily. Treasure Data allows us to
process troves of data at scale and need not worry about storage and processing
infrastructure. We regard Treasure Data as our authoritative source of truth
when it comes to reporting and event data.

PROS AND CONS

 * Data storage
 * Data processing flexibility
 * Customer service

 * The workflow interface is great, but more options to handle automatic
   retrying might be nice.
 * Treasure Data has documentation on custom Presto and Hive functions they've
   implemented, though it's gotten harder to find over the years.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Any time you need to process and store very large volumes of data at scale,
Treasure Data will aways be at the forefront of my mind. Especially if the data
being handled is constantly changing or evolving, rigid schemas just wont do.
Treasure Data has the ability to adapt as your product needs change over time.
Having the storage and processing flexibility is a huge win.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

We ourselves are a data-driven company, offering data and insights to our
customers. Treasure Data empowers us to be a scalable platform. We have an
internal saying that if it moves, graph it. Treasure Data allows us to track and
graph every metric we can think of, helping us understand the data we receive
and process every day at all ends of our platform.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

We use Treasure Data across the entire organization. Mainly for data warehouse
use, CDP was used for marketing optimization, and data regularly loaded by
workflow was used for monitoring the status by linking with communication
channels (Slack). In addition, the kit provided by Treasure Box was used (NBA
..).
By utilizing the functions provided by Treasure Data, various loaded data were
analyzed or trends were checked to make quick decisions, and they were also used
to prioritize.

PROS AND CONS

 * CDP provides a unified view of data from all touchpoints in the customer
   journey until a single customer uses the service. This feature is very
   helpful in making service decisions and direction.
 * It provides a variety of extensions to bring your data together in one place
   and helps you do this easily.
 * Kits provided by Treasure Box provide basic but helpful methods for further
   development of services.

 * Since Treasure Data is used throughout the company, a dictionary was needed
   to know for what purpose it was created in order to manage the details
   created such as database, table, workflow, and master segment.
 * For this, I personally created and used it manually in Excel. I would like to
   have a dashboard that is automatically extracted or accessible only with
   admin privileges to manage it separately.
 * If there is a page where you can check the ERD, or if there is a function to
   create a relationship between tables by linking the ERD with the table link
   of Treasure Data, it is more efficient from an Ed Hook perspective if
   non-developers can check the relationship of the entire table.
 * The official document is good, but if there is a document translated into
   Korean, it will be easier to access Treasure Data for those who are new to
   it. Because of the entry barrier of English, it seems that it is difficult
   for some employees to learn, so I translated the document into Korean and
   spread it.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Menu categorizing seems to be in the right order when viewed by the developer.
In the first menu, there is a function to load third-party data and to manage
the workflow so that the data can be updated regularly, and in the second menu,
there is a function to manage and control the loaded data. Thirdly, there is a
menu where you can perform marketing actions using the loaded data, and check
trends after activation. This overall flow seems to have been well made based on
the flow from loading data to action.

However, from the perspective of developers, the flow felt natural, but from the
perspective of non-developers, it seems that the third menu is considered higher
when viewed as a priority. Therefore, rather than showing the default page
displayed when entering the first time as a job, it seems to be more familiar to
show the dashboard of the master segment they are using. In other words, if you
can customize the first screen for each role, you will be able to use the
Treasure Data more for each role, and this will help you focus more on important
donations for each role.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

In the past, organizations didn't know how to view data at all, but there was a
perception that if they did business while looking at the data, they could
perform better, and that data could be used to determine how to proceed even if
the performance was not successful. However, since non-developers do not have
high SQL skills, training on how to use data well is necessary.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

Treasure Data is currently used in several departments & soon will be rolled out
for all the business lines at MSIL.
It is really helpful in providing insights about customer journey basis which
improvements have been done. We are also able to do smart targeting of audience
for relevant Campaigns. Suppression of audience from campaigns when required is
also achieved using TD.

PROS AND CONS

 * Great in client servicing & project management.
 * Ample knowledge about technology & platforms.
 * Help in scenarios to resolve existing business problem.

 * On tool front, Reporting dashboards in TD using can be seen as an area for
   improvement.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Well suited scenario
1. Personalization on digital assets can be driven by the specific audience set
which can be churned out of TD.
2. Targeting of audience for Marketing campaigns.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

MSIL has always been a data driven player, but with TD coming in the MSIL
ecosystem it has definitely added value & useful insights to drive business.
More or less all the business teams are aligned towards using CDP powered by TD
in order to improve performance & also it has changed the perspective of looking
at the proposals and new initiative.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

Treasure Data is being used as a secondary analytics solutions, principally
driving following:
1. Unified view of audience
2. Segmentation and Marketing
3. Personalisation
4. Driving ML use cases

PROS AND CONS

 * Unification.
 * Segmentation.
 * Data Manipulation.

 * Audience activation on Google platforms.
 * Audience creation can be made more intuitive in nature.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Treasure Data is great for driving use cases that involve web or app
personalization and some pilot initiatives
Marketers face a great deal of struggle using the tool for Remarketing since
it’s not a real-time solution.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

Yes, Treasure Data has the ability to ingest information, and unifying it with
behavior data at user level allows organisation to articulated the user actions
and interest level at a very great detail and use this information to structure
outreach programs, marketing initiatives and strategic calls. Though CDP is
great in driving data insights however the platform has a learning curve and it
takes time to start understanding and using the platform.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

I am part of a team that has been involved in the development of a customer data
platform for an international consumer good producer.<br>The client has decided
to adopt Treasure Data among other technologies. Using Treasure Data we are able
to collect datapoints from different sources and rearrange/propagate them
according to the datamodel designed by the business team.<br>The propagation of
data is executed by scheduled workflows.<br>There exists a native segmentation
tool, on top of this, it was necessary to develop workflows responsible to do
deduplication of customer, housekeeping of datapoints, validation rules, data
quality indexes etc.<br><br><br><br>

PROS AND CONS

 * Simple to set up and to use
 * Support is fully available
 * Cloud technology --> almost nothing is on prem

 * Documentation is not always fully update --> better off reaching to support
   for some topics that are not covered
 * Small bugs on the graphical user interface
 * If 2 people are editing on the same project simultaneously, the latter that
   saves the workflow overwrites the changes of the former one

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

When there are many different data sources and the amount of data is huge and we
need to create segments Treasure Data is the right tool as it has a growing list
of connectors as well as it supports Hive
May not be the right tool to run simple python code --> not as easy as SQL code
(Presto or Hive).

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

By creating a customer data platform on Treasure Data, the client wants to
better understand customers needs and offer better services/products.
All this is achieved using native segmentation tool and computation of metrics
which are heavily relying on data availability.
The rules to compute the segmentations and the metrics are pretty simple and
there is not that much room of personal/subjective data interpretation; some
events are triggered once a customer belong to certain segments --> completely

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

We use Treasure Data within Marketing as our Customer Data Platform (CDP). As
such, it is central to our audience segmentation and activations to multiple
marketing platforms.

PROS AND CONS

 * Integration with platforms
 * Customer support
 * Easy to use UI

 * Contract limits
 * Lack of nuanced audience logic via UI

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Treasure Data is a great tool for companies looking to centralize their customer
information, create audiences base on various criteria, and then activate on
those audience across various platforms. It may not be ideal for companies who
already consolidate & manipulate their customer data elsewhere (e.g., a
cloud-based data warehouse) as some functionality will be redundant.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

Our company is extremely data-driven.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

Treasure Data is being used by the Marketing Department for the purpose of
connecting contacts from all channels. This helps with attribution modeling and
identifying healthy marketing channels. The tool assists in collecting and
organizing our data for the marketing mix as well as helping us identify new
possibilities not tried in our industry.

PROS AND CONS

 * Implementation.
 * Data organization.
 * Training.

 * Change Management.
 * Follow Through.
 * Breadth of reporting capabilities.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Any company that has a large data source would be an ideal candidate for
Treasure Data. I think a company that does not have full buy-in on implementing
this tool for all their data should consider waiting until they do.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

This tool is definitely helping our marketing team become more data-driven. We
are still building our data structure and in this process, we are discovering
items we see immediate improvements. So we are seeing benefits.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

Treasure Data is used as our CDP and powers all of our automated marketing
campaigns. It is being used by the entire commercial department and allows us to
do automated marketing at scale.

PROS AND CONS

 * Allows for marketers to segment audiences
 * Large variety of APIs for connecting to other mar-tech
 * Create one centralized view of the customer

 * The initial setup for our system was done quickly and not as organized as
   possible

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Treasure Data is well suited for organizations who (a) do not have a centralized
view of one customer, (b) are manually pulling lists for marketing purposes.

Treasure Data is not well suited for smaller organizations that are not doing
automated marketing at scale.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

Treasure Data has allowed us to become more data-driven. We have aggregated all
of our data into Treasure and we are visualizing the growth and engagement of
our audience within Tableau. We are now able to prove the effectiveness of our
marketing efforts using the Treasure Data platform, which helps prioritize how
we spend our time.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

Treasure Data is being used as a tool to assimilate, stitch & unify the
audiences (and related data) for a customer. This enriched data set is being
used for driving marketing and re-targeting activities as well as fueling the
machine learning use cases for calculating highly active audiences and /or high
intent audiences.

PROS AND CONS

 * Pre-Built Treasure Boxes for running simple ML use cases.
 * Query Engine.
 * Audience Profiling.

 * Tag Management Tool (likes of GTM or Adobe Launch) for Web Analytics Tagging.
 * A/B Testing Tool or extension.
 * ETL and Connectors.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Well Suited: Works very well in creating a 360 view of the customer. This
unified view using omnichannel and multisource data helps in analysing customer
behaviour really well and on the same platform.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

Within the 1st year of Treasure Data implementation, we are already seeing not
just the Marketing but CX and Lead nurturing decisions made through it. Most
teams have now subscribed to the dashboards running on top of Treasure Data for
their insights mining.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

We are using Treasure Data in our marketing department by leveraging consumer
data to build smart marketing activations through a data engineering process
that was built. By integrating all the consumer data sources the company has, we
can create audiences for marketing. As a global company, we were able to create
a standardized process through all the countries that we manage.

PROS AND CONS

 * Flexibility for development
 * Good technical support
 * Good infrastructure

 * Audience Studio needs improvement and flexibility
 * Reporting platform could improve for end users

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Treasure Data is a very flexible platform, able to adjust to any of your
business needs, as it gives you freedom to manage your data. The programming
languages available for use are easy to implement and manage. The environment
infrastructure is well managed and has good support. Documentation is clear and
has many easy-to-implement integration options.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

Treasure Data is helping our company to be more data driven by creating a
culture where data needs to be always part of the strategy of any marketing
campaign, as we need more quality data to ensure good activation results. Now,
even business teams are hiring technical people to ensure this happens.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

[Treasure Data] is a tool we are implementing for several of our big consumer
goods clients. The biggest implementation has [Treasure Data] CDP sitting in the
middle of the core architecture of the client's digital customer experience. It
centralizes customer data and provides a full 360 degree view of all of their
customers, enabling near real time segmentation and data access, providing at
the same time a single version of the truth. It is a global solution with
tailored particularities for local markets (including legal requirements).

PROS AND CONS

 * Workflow editor - especially split function
 * Out of the box connectors
 * Audience studio - easy of use for non technical people
 * Nice UI
 * Integration with advanced features - python, spark

 * Documentation accessibility and documentation quality
 * Testing of new features rollout
 * Develops integration
 * Enable a setup for multi location and larger developer team

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Well suited: Customer 360, easy of access for non technical people (out of the
box features), segmentation is quite powerful also, speed to market is
impressive

Less appropriate:
For technical advanced features, another is required. Advanced processing like
heavy algorithm for deduplication or fraud detection.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

I believe it has for the client we have implemented. Data is available and easy
to explore and sits on 1 single place instead of many tools

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

We use Treasure Data to orchestrate our customer journey, track customer
acquisition cost, monitor multi-touch attribution, and data visualization. As an
emerging enterprise-level company, we weren't entirely sure what a customer data
platform did. However, in our experience, Treasure Data has never said "no" to a
single request we submitted. Throughout our learning process, we discovered that
we needed a data warehouse service as well, and they supplied.

PROS AND CONS

 * Amazing customer support at all hours
 * The willingness to develop customer solutions
 * Multi-touch attribution

 * We'd like more clarity on what a CDP (any CDP) can or cannot do.
 * We'd love built-in data visualization tools.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

I've loved working with Treasure Data. They really will do whatever you ask,
even if it's not what a CDP or TD was built for. However, it's just one software
in your suite.
If you're not already an enterprise company, like us who are emerging as an
enterprise company, it can be confusing what TD and other CDPs can and cannot
do. When we started, Treasure Data didn't have the data visualization services
it has now. Further, Treasure Data can offer plenty of real-time data for
website personalization, however, we didn't have a website CMS that could accept
that information. We're still working on that.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

Treasure Data has allowed us to get a completely transparent view of our
multi-touch attribution data, rather than it being locked in some "black box"
software. Further, we have had no data warehouse what so ever. So Treasure Data
was the first time we were ever able to see a unified view of any of our data.
As an emerging company, it has been amazing to learn what we did–and didn't–know
about our customers.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

We use Treasure Data in our Marketing team. It is used to enable the constant
flow of data between our database (snowflake) and other platforms like
Salesforce. We use Salesforce for email campaigns in which we need refreshed
data every day. We use Treasure Data to get data that refreshes every day from
snowflake via data extensions. The segments that we create in Treasure Data are
really useful.

PROS AND CONS

 * Really easy to use user interface, pretty easy to navigate
 * Amazing customer support
 * Multiple activations attached to one segment

 * Enabling fields to use in output mapping of behavioral segments
 * Faster run for master segments
 * Ability to overwrite data in data extensions in Salesforce

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Treasure Data is really good for the distribution of data from the database to
various platforms. One segment can be created using various conditions, and it
is really easy to use the interface. Many activations can be attached to a
segment to really save time and enable smooth data flow.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

Yes, I would say the platform has helped us a lot with the focus on accurate
data. Also, the user interface is really easy to use for nontechnical people. So
one does not need to know SQL to use it and hence can create various segments by
using just the filter which enables data-driven use.

We are using this across all of our marketing teams and improving the user
experience throughout our domain. We have several domains and we need to
integrate the cookies and identify user interest, whether we've had them before
on our site, and then provide them with the best content possible.

PROS AND CONS

 * Integration with Google
 * Unified ID for cookies across domain
 * Great costumer support

 * Integration with VMs from cloud services
 * Tracking without 3rd-party cookie
 * AppsFlyer integration with postback

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

If you need to better identify your user/client you can definitively use
Treasure Data to unify IT behavior and attributes in one canonical ID. Then,
share it through your network in order to improve the content given to your
user. Also Treasure Data has several native integrations that help build this
data unification. This is a very expensive tool, and it would not be recommended
for companies that are just starting. But it is a good goal to strive for, to
have Treasure Data as your CDP.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

We are still implementing the solution, but as far as we can see now, this
product from Treasure Data is improving the understanding of our customers. We
are centralizing the tracking and not using many tools to accomplish the goal
that Treasure Data does. Also, our site is improving its performance as we don't
have so much tracking and tags to track individually.

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

Treasure Data is a critical platform that we use to be able to enrich our
customer data, actively engage with new and our current customer base, and
leverage out-of-box machine learning technology to recommend the most effective
engagement paths. From a business problems oriented approach, Treasure Data has
allowed us to utilize the necessary proactive technology to increase customer
retention and experience.

PROS AND CONS

 * Out-of-box machine learning
 * Continuous data enrichment
 * Customized audiences
 * Engagement recommendation

 * No-code functionality for non-technical users
 * Increased catalog of data connections

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Treasure Data is perfectly aligned for companies looking to leverage their data
to make more informed and customized decisions on channel activations and
customer experience. As a company scales, it is pertinent for the company to be
mindful of where they spend money on paid acquisition, loyalty, and membership
experience. Utilizing a CDP software adds intelligence to those critical areas
and Treasure Data presents the best opportunity for that technology.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

Treasure Data has accelerated not only the data-driven culture mentality in our
company, but it has also increased the adoption of stakeholders to utilize
technology in critical areas of the business. Non-technical users find it
extremely valuable as they can create, enable, and analyze audience performance
without ever writing a single line of code. It has allowed us all to move at the
same pace and create less friction across business departments.

TREASURE DATA: ONE OF THE BEST IN CUSTOMER DATA PLATFORMS

USE CASES AND DEPLOYMENT SCOPE

Treasure Data is being used by our client, which operates worldwide. It is being
used by the IT department, the result of which is an increase in revenue for the
whole organization. It helps the client in knowing their customer's behaviors
and digitizing the consumer base, which they did not have any idea about
previously. After integrating data from different systems and structuring them
logically we have a 360-degree view of a consumer and her purchase behavior and
history of the same. This gives immense insight to the client regarding their
business decisions, thus impacting the business enormously.

PROS AND CONS

 * Ability to integrate with numerous external systems along with cloud platform
   as a source or target providing the opportunity to deal with a variety of
   data.
 * Comprehensive support, which stands out
 * Segmentation and Predictive Scoring are unique capabilities of it, which
   makes it a better choice among similar products.
 * Customizable dashboard is an added feature.
 * Profile gives a 360-degree view around a chosen segmentation.

 * Enabling workflow name and project name change option on GUI on the existing
   workflow will make life easier.
 * Since it's a big data stack tool, better data volume handling and no memory
   leakage is expected.

LIKELIHOOD TO RECOMMEND

Treasure Data is well suited for consumer data analysis, which is one of the
main objectives of a customer data platform. It's a great application for ETL
with numerous options for data transformation. Its wide range of customizing
options along with simple easy to navigate features make it a class apart.
Since Treasure Data is meant for CDP mainly, it's not suited for data warehouse
build-up. It can store data, but trying to build a data warehouse will fetch a
higher cost. It cannot store data in its own database with primary key defined
unlike RDBMS.

BECOMING DATA-DRIVEN

Our client that is using Treasure Data has achieved this benefit to a great
extent. Their consumer base became digitized, and they can gain insight from a
data-driven model, which is imperative to their business decisions. Looking at
the swiftness of the product and its range of capacity, the usage was expanded
to other segments of the business thus altering the existing internal process
for the better.
