MOTOR CONTROL SOFTWARE ENGINEER (M/F/D)

FESTANSTELLUNG, VOLLZEIT · MUNICH

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 * Design and develop software in C/C++ for our joint control stack
 * Simulate and analyze joint dynamics 
 * Set up signal processing workflows and analyze measurements
 * Write software tests and define hardware testing procedures
 * Review code developed by your peers
 * Work hands-on with robotic systems
 * Investigate and evaluate the newest robotic technologies and research results

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We are looking for motivated, multi-disciplinary engineers to join our Robot
Group at Agile Robots AG in Munich as full-time employees. Developing the entire
span of robot components in-house provides the control engineers of our Robot
Group with unrestricted possibilities and the opportunity to work in close
collaboration with the hardware teams. We believe that this is key to achieving
the high-end control performance that we are aiming for. 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

 * A sound understanding of electrical motor control (e.g. BLDC, PMSM)
 * A strong academic background in control engineering
 * Hands-on experience in parameter identification and tuning
 * Proficient programming skills in C
 * Experience with embedded systems: microcontrollers, timing and
   synchronization, interrupts, …   
 * The capability to work and communicate entirely in English

BENEFICIAL SKILLS

 * Basic understanding of electrical schematics 
 * Experience with debugging electrical hardware
 * Worked with Linux operating systems
 * Basic understanding of real time systems
 * Good troubleshooting and software debugging skills (e.g. gdb, lldb)
 * Experience with common software engineering tools 
   (e.g. Git, build systems, software packaging)
