Hypertension is a prevalent condition among patients infected with SARS-CoV-2.
Whether renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) inhibitors are beneficial or
harmful is controversial. A non-experimental, retrospective, comparative study
was designed in 2 tertiary hospitals to assess the impact of chronic use of RAAS
inhibitors in hypertensive patients with COVID-19. A meta-analysis was performed
to confirm the findings.

WHAT IS YOUR DIAGNOSIS? IT'S A MYSTERY FOR ME!

Hi, what do you think about these patches on the arm existing for several years,
the same but fewer lesions on the other arm. Failure of local treatement with
ciclopirox twice a day for one month. Result of the skin biopsy :

An immunohistochemical study was carried out on paraffin sections with
revelation by the Envision kit (Agilent) on an automaton (Autostainer 48 Link)
after pretreatment (PT Link).
ANTIBODIES USED: C-KIT (CD 117) (C KIT (Poly), Agilent, 1/50): No increase in
dermal mast cells.

CONCLUSION
On this biopsy, only a slight pigmentation of the basal bone is observed.
Absence of inflammatory lesion. Absence of melanocytic process. Absence of tumor
localization. No argument for mastocytosis. Absence of mycelial elements.
