Intel’s Trust Authority is a new service that provides remote verification of
the trustworthiness of a compute asset, based on attestation (cryptographic
verification) and policy (a legitimate workload). This is a significant
development for confidential computing, as it provides a way for organizations
to independently verify the security of their workloads.

Noname Security is excited to be a partner in the Intel Trust Authority program.

Noname Security, combined with the Intel Trust Authority, ensures your private
data stays private, as the entire virtual machine runs in an “enclave” – an
encrypted memory region that provides confidentiality for data and code
execution. It’s an instance of a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) which is
secured by hardware. Workloads not running in an encrypted enclave can be
vulnerable to data compromise through unencrypted memory. Even more appealing,
the solution runs in the cloud, on-premises, or a hybrid model without
compromising security. This is all a part of the tremendous security value of
confidential computing.

David Thomason started his career in computer security working in the United
States Air Force, serving the Air Intelligence Agency and the Air Force Computer
Emergency Response Team (AFCERT). As a serial start-up junkie, David has worked
with 6 start-ups since the late 1990s. In 2018, David joined NSS Labs where he
held a number of roles including principal researcher/architect. In November of
2020, David joined Noname Security as employee #3 in the US and leads the
worldwide team of Solution Architects.
