Russian President Vladimir Putin is getting smoke from all sides for invading
Ukraine. US President Joe Biden and the EU have imposed sanctions on Russia,
including exclusion from the SWIFT system. Even notoriously neutral Switzerland
has picked a side in this battle, freezing access to over $31 billion in Russian
assets in its banks. And the rap community has spoken out, with Cardi B, Gunna,
Nicki Minaj, and Young Thug taking a stand for peace in the conflict. In typical
hip-hop fashion, it wouldn't be long before a diss track dropped. Enter, FUBU
Banks.

Now, underground rapper FUBU Banks has responded to the conflict with a cheeky
diss track titled “F*** Russia” where he goes after President Putin, takes shots
at Russian women’s beauty (and odor) and Putin’s wife and kids. Banks even goes
as far to say he doesn’t mess with anything that’s Russian, including games like
Tetris and chess “because it’s Russian.”

The Memphis-born rapper’s song, in which he spits, “Fuck the whole entire
country of Russia, on my momma,” has been trending on social media.

On a simple trap beat starting with a crowd chanting, “Fuck Russia,” FB raps,

> Vladimir Putin yous a bitch, Vladimir Putin yous a hoe, and your wife is ugly
> is shit, and your kids, ugly as shit, Vladimir Putin, yous a bitch.

FUBU Banks has 64 tracks on Soundcloud, with “Fuck Russia” being his biggest hit
to date with over 76,000 streams and over 1000 comments from fans who are
calling it the next “Ukrainian national anthem.” Others are saying the song has
so much smoke, it could provoke an attack on the US. 

Cardi B is no stranger to using her platform to speak passionately about justice
and current issues happening in society.  She recently took to Twitter to share
her views on the war being waged against Ukraine by President Vladimir Putin of
Russia.  She said, “I’m really not on NATO’s side, I’m really not on the Russian
side, I’m actually on the citizens’ side, because at the end of the day, the
world is having a crisis right now.”

Gunna joined Cardi B in speaking out against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Gunna came out on Twitter stating, “We Pushing Peace #prayforUkraine”

RACISM RAISES ITS UGLY HEAD…AGAIN


Over the last week, over 500,000 people have fled Ukraine after Russian
President Vladimir Putin invaded the country.  Among these are African students
who state they are facing racial segregation and discrimination as they attempt
to pass through borders.  In response, Young Thug wants the rap community to
come together to help.

MEGAN THEE STALLION FACING DEATH THREATS AS TORY LANEZ TRIAL DATE APPROACHES

As the case between rappers Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion is approaching
this April, pressure is mounting on Tory Lanez after the DA’s office announced
they have “substantial evidence” that supports Megan’s claims.  Meanwhile, Megan
says she is facing death threats.

Megan Thee Stallion is saying she is facing threats on her life as her upcoming
trial with Tory Lanz approaches.



The 27-year-old rapper shared on her Instagram Story that her social media
accounts have been riddled with daily threats of violence and death, and
included a post saying, “Megan needs to get shot and killed.”



Since the alleged shooting, rappers Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion have
dropped only bits of information on the case, promising that more would be
revealed in the upcoming trial.  



However, in recent days the two were on social media going back and forth after
gossip blogger DJ Akademiks put out a false report in favor of Tory Lanez — 
which was later refuted by Megan’s lawyer, Nancy Dillion.



Then, the LA county district attorney office issued a statement that prosecutors
have evidence to support charges that the Canadian rapper shot the H-Town
hottie.  The statement concluded that “We believe the evidence substantially
supports the charges and allegations will be revealed in court.” 



The trial will resume on April 5.
