FUNDAMENTALS OF RISK MANAGEMENT

The traditional role of risk management is to protect the organization from
negative deviations in a downside tail. Learn how understanding the fundamentals
of risk management can be used to form decisions beneficial to an organization.
Examine the building blocks inherent in risk management frameworks and determine

Attendees evaluate the purpose, function, profess of risk management and keep
track of their learning through “aha” moment worksheets and discussion. Learn

This program is for professionals new to risk management, non-risk professionals
who are interested in learning more about the discipline, and those who need a
refresher on the foundations.  

RIMS education courses are designed primarily for risk and insurance
professionals, but anyone within an organization who wants to learn more about a
specific topic of interest is encouraged to attend.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

We suggest that you register on-line for quick registration as soon as possible
since registration is limited. If you are mailing us a check or doing a bank
transfer, you need to fax us a copy of the registration form in order to hold
your seat in the program. Registration is not guaranteed until we receive
payment. If you wish to participate in a RIMS course, the registration fee needs
to be received by RIMS before the first day of the course.

If you register by mailing a check or doing a bank transfer, you will be
accepted as long as the program is not sold out when we receive your payment.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

RIMS reserves the right to cancel a course if conditions warrant. In the event
of such a cancellation, registration fees will be refunded.

All requests for refunds or changes must be submitted in writing to RIMS at
PD@RIMS.org. Registrants who cancel 15 business days or more prior to the start
of the workshop can receive a credit to attend another workshop with the same
duration and cost within three months.

You may cancel your registration at any time by emailing PD@RIMS.org.
Cancellations received more than 30 days prior to the start of the event will
receive a 100% refund. Cancellations received 15 to 30 days prior to the start
of the event will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be provided for
cancellations received less than 15 days prior to the event. No refunds will be
issued after the event. All refunds will be refunded to your original method of
payment. Registrations may not be shared but may be transferred at no cost up to
15 days prior to the start of the event with notification to PD@RIMS.org.
