   Hazardous Materials Responders at the Technician Level are required to
   retrain or demonstrate competency in their assigned job duties at least
   annually. This course is the second half of a two-day refresher designed to
   meet or exceed the minimum annual refresher requirements. Through simulated
   emergencies, students will learn to analyze the incident, plan a response for
   the conditions present, implement their planned response, and evaluate the
   effectiveness of their plan within the limitations of their training and
   resources. Part-B will focus primarily on skills and knowledge needed to
   implement a planned response. Neither OSU-FST or OKOHS is taking registration
   for this class. If you are not a member of the host agency, contact the host

   Haz Mat
   Hazardous Materials Awareness for First Responders Online Resource One,
   provides skill development for first responders who, in the course of their
   normal duties ,could be the first on the scene of an emergency involving a
   hazrdous substance. This training helps fulfill the training requirements of
   NFPA 472, 473, 1072, and meets the requirements for EMT classes and Law
   Enforcement Academies. The cost of the online class is $50 per student. If
   IFSAC certification is needed, the certification exam cost $35 and the exam
   may be taken at a participating Technology Center testing labs or you can
   register for an OSU Fire Service Training exam. Organizations will be billed
   for the class. If the student is responsible for the class they must prepay.
