GLYNN COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT


WELCOME

The Glynn County Police Department is a full-service, progressive law
enforcement agency with an authorized strength of 132 officers. We serve the
84,499 residents of Glynn County along with thousands of daily visitors to the
Golden Isles of Georgia. The men and women of the Glynn County Police Department
strive to provide the best possible law enforcement and public safety quality of
life services to our community.

The mission of the Glynn County Police Department is to work in partnership with
the community, as well as county, city and state agencies and departments, to
support a safe environment and to reduce crime and the fear of crime.

It is our vision to be recognized as a premier police department through the
utilization of innovative and progressive policing strategies resulting in a
safer community for all to enjoy.

    PRIVATE PROPERTY MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS

    You must never leave the scene of an accident prior to exchanging
    information with others involved, whether they are another driver or the
    owner of property. If you are involved in an accident, you are required to
    provide certain information to the other parties involved. Likewise, other
    motorists, passengers, or pedestrians involved in the accident are required
    to provide you with similar information. This information includes:
    
    * Name, address, and contact telephone number
    * Driver’s license number
    * License plate and VIN of the vehicles involved
    * Auto insurance information for the vehicles involved, to include insurance
      company name, policy number, and name of insured.
    
    If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident on private property
    (off roadway), you need to fill out an SR-13 form and turn it in to your
    insurance company.
