VAPORIZER 101: HOW TO USE AND CLEAN YOCAN EXPLORE

The Yocan Explore is barely new in the vape industry and this vaporizer can be
used for both waxy concentrates and dried herbs. It features a pocket-friendly
and compact size for discreet use on the go. It measures 3.85 inches tall and 2
inches wide, so this is a good travel buddy because it is just big enough to
handle enough amount of material yet small to comfortably keep in your jacket
pocket or jeans. You'll be impressed with Explore digital temperature control
(200 to 460 degrees Fahrenheit) in 1-degree increments so you can hone your
desired temperature for your expected results.  

The Yocan Explore comes with two interchangeable mouthpieces which are designed
to be used with wax concentrates and dry herbs. For using dry herbs, a
mouthpiece that comes with a built-in stir tool allow mixing of the material
evenly inside the ceramic chamber, saving your time, effort, and ensuring that
all dry herbs are heated evenly. For using wax concentrates, the mouthpiece and
coil combination replace the stir tool so the thick oil will be loosened, evenly
spreading them throughout the chamber. 




CLEANING THE YOCAN EXPLORE VAPORIZER  

When cleaning your Yocan Vaporizer, first you need to cool it because the
heating chamber becomes very hot that can lead to skin burn. After vaping, it is
best to wait for an hour before cleaning your device. Disassemble
the Yocan Explore and place small parts on a towel to avoid misplacing or losing
them. Use a soft bristle brush to remove any debris or dust gently from the
heating chamber, inserting it into the chamber and turning it to loosen the dirt
or debris. You may use an air can to completely remove the dirt and remaining
material.  

Next, dip the cotton swab in a cleaning solution and wipe the interior of the
chamber to disinfect. Avoid cleaning solutions with harsh chemicals to avoid
damaging the components such as bleach and alcohol obtained from crude oil. You
can use a toothpick or pin to unclog the screens. Wipe residues off the
mouthpiece with the use of cotton cloth. Disinfect with a cleansing solution.

 1. To turn it on, click the button five times.
 2. For 3 to 5 seconds, hold the main button to set it into your desired
    temperature.
 3. Adjust the temperature using the up and down buttons.
 4. Start vaping!

PREPARATION 

When you first open the device, you might observe noticeable scents. We highly
recommend priming for at least 1 to 2 full 5-minute cycles at 460 degrees
Fahrenheit before use. The Yocan Explore performs pretty well in dry herb mode.
For best results, make sure you use a de-humidor box for your dry herbs.  

The temperatures of the Explore are too low for a satisfying hit experience with
concentrates. This vaporizer is best used for dry herbs at low temperatures. You
have to take literally a bunch of draws instead of 1 to 2 big draws. If you are
planning to use it for wax concentrates, the battery may drain faster, so be
ready to charge it more often. 


USING THE YOCAN EXPLORE VAPORIZER  

When you get used to it, the Yocan Explore is simple to use with a simple button
setup. It takes some time to be familiar with how it works though. You don't
have to remember a lot of things to do. To turn it on, just click the button 5
times. To engage the heat, just click the same button and hold for 3 to 5
seconds. It heats continuously for 5 minutes and shuts off automatically. To
adjust the temperature, use the up and down buttons. All buttons are intuitive
and beginners can easily learn how to use the device without issues. 


GOOD TO KNOW 

Yocan Explore has a good battery life, lasting up to 1 to 2 hours on a single
and full charge. The internal battery is 2600mAh. Because the temperature you'll
use affects the battery life, maxing out at 460 degrees Fahrenheit for wax
concentrates will drain the battery faster. On a full charge, you'll get about
12 to 15 sessions.  

When it comes to portability, the Yocan Explore is very good. It can be easily
fit inside your pants, vapor case, or jacket pocket for on-the-go vaping
sessions. It's compact and small enough for short travels. Because of its small
compact nature, you can use the device stealthily. The temperature range which
is precise also helps in discreet vaping by lowering the temperature. Just keep
in mind that lower temperatures work best only with dry herbs with less visible
vapor.

TIPS AND TRICKS  

When it comes to the manufacturing quality, we consider it average. The built-in
stirring stool is quite impressive but the internal airflow needs improvement.
While there are vents to allow air to enter, you'll feel the air coming from
different places whenever you take a draw. To easily test the internal airflow,
you cover the air flow holes and breathe. While the air may move relatively
free, it raises concerns about materials the air may carry on its way when it is
inhaled. 

The Yocan Explore is compact, easy to use, and with precise temperature
controls. This is a vaporizer with an average build and not satisfying for wax
concentrates because of the conduction heating system. This is not an expensive
device so you can't expect too much from this product. The Explore is perfect
for dry herbs but after a few draws, the flavor dwindles away. However, the
battery is powerful enough to last long. It is still a worth it investment for
short hits and as a backup device.
