UPSCAYL: ENHANCING YOUR IMAGES WITH AI

Upscayl leverages advanced AI models to upscale and enhance your images by
predicting and filling in details. Using Real-ESRGAN and Vulkan architecture,
Upscayl offers impressive results for low-resolution and pixelated images. Our
backend is fully open-source under the AGPLv3 license, ensuring transparency and
community contributions.


WHY YOUR UPSCALED IMAGE MAY NOT SHOW DRASTIC CHANGES

Upscayl excels in enhancing low-resolution and pixelated images but is not
designed for de-blurring or focus adjustment. If your image is out-of-focus or
completely blurred, Upscayl is not the right tool. For best results, use images
similar to the examples provided on our platform.


GPU REQUIREMENT

Yes, a Vulkan-compatible GPU is required. Upscayl won't work with most iGPUs or
CPUs. However, you can try it on your system to see if it works.


WORKAROUNDS AND CONTRIBUTIONS

A workaround for Windows and Linux is available, contributed by @Wyrdgirn. For
macOS and Haiku frameworks, manipulation is still unknown. You can contribute by
reporting issues, fixing code, adding features, or donating.


BATCH UPSCAYL ISSUES

If you stop the Batch Upscayl process, images may not be processed, compressed,
or may be in the wrong scale. Upscayl finishes upscaling all images first before
post-processing them. Simply wait for the process to complete.
