FOOD REVIEW: LA HACIENDA DE SAN ANGEL AT WALT DISNEY WORLD’S EPCOT

   March 6, 2024 / No Comments

Nestled in the Mexico pavilion in Walt Disney World’s EPCOT is La Hacienda de
San Angel, a moderately priced sit-down restaurant. On my recent trip to Walt
Disney World this spring, I was looking for a same-day reservation for a good
sit-down meal that would appeal to my family. The restaurant is settled right
on the water, with beautiful views no matter which time you go, whether it’s
during the day or at night. However, if you can time a reservation correctly,
you’ll get an extra-special treat at night. Our family managed to get a
reservation at 8:15 p.m., with the fireworks (Luminous The Symphony of Us)

HOW SOLO TRAVEL CHANGED MY LIFE – MANDI’S STORY

   March 5, 2024 / No Comments

Growing up, my hero was Samantha Brown as she trekked across Europe meeting
new friends and showing the world how accessible travel could be to a small
town kid like myself. I loved how she was usually alone, but would meet new
people who she would inevitably befriend. They’d invite her out to dinner or
show her the area in the only way locals could. This way of traveling was
both terrifying and thrilling to me.  I first traveled out of the U.S. in
2004 at the age of 18 on a school trip to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
It completely changed how I moved forward in my life. In…

THE START OF SOMETHING NEW – BRIAR’S STORY

   February 23, 2024 / No Comments

This is, as you guessed it, the start of something new. In 2019, I was
diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, an autoimmune disease that effects the
digestive track. This brought on a slew of doctors, questions, medication,
and pain. I had to quickly adjust to what a new lifestyle would be at the end
of my 20s, a time when I thought I was just getting the hang of things.
Having to learn all new ways to adjust to the world alongside this diagnosis
(and right before COVID-19 hit) was definitely a challenge. It has since been
almost five years, and in those five years came many things with that
   diagnosis;…

Still Able to Travel is a travel blog from Briar and Mandi, who wanted to
chronicle their various travels across the world, while traveling with
disabilities, chronic illnesses, and mobility issues. The site, Still Able to
Travel, was given the title to show that despite previously thinking their
disabilities hindered them from traveling, they both found a way to travel to
various places across the world, and hope to show others with similar fears or
illnesses that they too, can still travel as they wish.
