Time: 1:00–2:00 PM EST

 * How companies can integrate Gen AI into their overall strategies

Power of ‘I’ in equity

Time: 2:30–3:30 PM EST

Description:

From boardroom tables to kitchen tables, many are having conversations about
equity and what needs to change. In the workplace, we often look to leaders to
fix systems and address systemic biases. We hope these “top-down” changes result
in a more equitable landscape for all individuals of an organization and its
vendors, customers, and clients. But many of us wonder what does working toward
the ultimate goal of a more equitable organization and society mean for those of
us who aren’t in the C-suite and/or don’t have “diversity, equity, inclusion,
and belonging” in our job title? Do we also play a role?

The power of the “I” refers to the power all individuals have, across all levels
of the organization, from C-suite executives and middle managers to frontline
workers, to make a difference. Whether through extending your access and
influence on existing efforts, active support of new initiatives, or visibly
sponsoring actions, you can make a difference. Identifying your role means
acting within your capacity and joining others to drive equitable outcomes.
We’ll discuss:

 * Seven practices that the Deloitte's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
Institute established to help to develop a holistic approach toward equity.

 * How individuals can engage in these practices and how self-reflection can be
   critical as they practice.

Session speakers:

Joanne Stephane, Executive Director, Deloitte’s DEI Institute™

Heather McBride Leef, Managing Director, Deloitte’s DEI Institute™
