WORD で複数ページにまたがる表が作れないときの対処法




Microsoft Office Word の表がページをまたいでくれない。書いても書いてもページ下部に隠されていってしまう。職場のパソコンで遭遇したこの現象。

で、Google さんにお伺いを立てたところ、こんなページを紹介される。
 * 【Word】　複数ページにまたがる表の行途中で改ページする

> 方法は、表内にカーソルを移動させ、右クリック→[表のプロパティ]をクリックします。[行]タブを開き、「行の途中で改ページする」のチェックをします。

「行の途中で改ページする」というオプションがあるとのことなので、試しに表のプロパティを開いてみると…。



ちょっと分かりにくいけれど、「行の途中で改ページする」のチェックボックスが無効になっていて、チェックをつけたりはずしたりできない状態になっている。

で、さらに検索をかけてみると、こんなページを発見。
 * Word-表 「行の途中で改ページする」がグレーアウトされ、チェックを入れることができない。 - 教えて！HELPDESK

> ページをまたいだ表で「行の途中で改ページする」がグレーアウトされチェックを入れらず、表が途切れてしまうというトラブルが起こることがあります。これは表
> が途切れる位置のセルが「文字方向＝縦」となっている場合に起こります。該当セルを「文字方向＝横」に変更し
> 、「行の途中で改ページする」にチェックを入れてください。

表に縦書きのセルが含まれていると「行の途中で改ページする」オプションが使えないとのこと。なので Word 2010 でいうと対処法は、
 * 縦書きになっているセルを選択して右クリック、「縦書きと横書き」から横書きを選ぶ。
 * 表全体を選択して、「ページレイアウト ＞ 文字列の方向」で「横書き」を指定する。

のいずれかになるかと。これでようやく「行の途中で改ページする」が選べるように。相変わらず Word は Word 特有のルールがあって、分かりにくいのです…。
