COGNIZANT Q1 REVENUE GROWS 10.9% IN CONSTANT CURRENCY, NET INCOME UP 11.5%

IT services firm Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. (NASDAQ: CTSH) reported
first-quarter revenue rose 10.9% in constant currency.

“Our first-quarter performance reflects strong revenue growth in our digital
portfolio and a healthy demand environment,” CFO Jan Siegmund said. “We remain
focused on investing to support growth opportunities while also executing on
pricing to offset the impact of compensation pressure driven by the continued
labor supply-demand imbalance.”

The fastest growth took place in Cognizant’s “communications, media and
technology” sector, which grew by 19.9% year over year in constant currency,
reflecting strong demand for data services among digital native companies.

GUIDANCE

Cognizant forecast second-quarter revenue to be up between 6.8% and 7.8%, or
between 9.3% and 10.3% in constant currency.

Full-year 2022 revenue is expected to be up between 7.2% and 9.2%, or between
9.0% and 11.0% in constant currency.


SHARE PRICE AND MARKET CAP

Shares in Cognizant were down 11.59% to $74.58 as of 12:32 p.m. Eastern time;
they were 12.68% above the 52-week low according to FT.com. The company had a
market cap of 43.97 billion.
