May 04, 2023 - May 05, 2023

ultrasound in evaluating musculoskeletal disorders. Lectures are integrated with
hands-on demonstrations of technique and case interpretation. A small group
format facilitates questions and answers and tailors the educational experience
to meet the specific needs of individual participants. It is in real-time use of

basic knowledge and it is in this context that they can apply this knowledge to
troubleshoot difficult imaging cases, identify artifacts, and improve resolution
at the bedside. NOTE: For questions regarding the course curriculum, please

RESULTS-BASED ACCOUNTABILITY™: DO THE RIGHT THINGS AND DO THEM WELL

May 09, 2023 - May 11, 2023
Live Webinar

Results-Based Accountability™ (RBA) is a disciplined way of thinking and acting
to improve entrenched and complex social problems. Communities use RBA to
improve the lives of children, youth, families, and adults. It is also used by
organizations to improve the effectiveness of their programs and services. This
RBA curriculum is developed by the NC AHECs, in collaboration with the NC
Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health and the
Foundation for Health Leadership and Innovation to build RBA capacity in North
Carolina. Healthy North Carolina 2030 (HNC 2030) and the North Carolina State
Health Improvement Plan (NC SHIP) inform the activities and the examples used in
this course. Participants will gain knowledge in the RBA framework and skill in
applying key concepts. Due to the participatory nature of this workshop, a
computer with audio and video capabilities is required. “Trying Hard is Not Good
Enough” by Mark Friedman A copy of the book will be distributed to all
participants. Familiarizing yourself with the book, especially chapters one and
two, will accelerate your learning. Participants are encouraged to register
early in order to receive the book prior to the course. Credit will be awarded
based on participant selection at time of registration. Before selecting
credits, please review our general Credit Glossary, but note that not all
programs offer all credits. Registration is online only and requires a current
AHEC account. Each participant must be registered in advance under their own

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH REVERSE INTEGRATION - MODULE ONE: INTRODUCTION TO BEHAVIORAL
HEALTH INTEGRATION

Online Self-Paced Learning

The integration of behavioral health care into primary care is now widely
considered an effective strategy for improving outcomes for patients with
physical and behavioral health conditions. Reverse integration of primary care
into behavioral healthcare is another form of integration that produces improved
quality of care and patient outcomes. This online series will focus on the
reverse integration process and provide details on how to implement this new
model of care. Participants will learn the benefits of this model of care, how
to use electronic health records (EHRs) to improve continuity of care in an
integrated setting, how to integrate physical health assessments into EHRs, the
financial aspects of integrated care, as well as other clinical and operational
aspects of providing this model of care.
