this software. Start QWcrm Upgrade
QWCRM INSTALLATION NOTES
The installation is broken up into several stages and the process is easy to
complete.
You cannot go back and alter previous stages, so please fill in the details
carefully.
PREREQUISITES
* Set your database collation to utf8_unicode_ci, QWcrm will work on other
collations but this is the preferred setting.
AFTER THE INSTALLATION
Once the installation is complete you will be redirected to the login screen so
you can access QWcrm straight away.

MYITCRM TO QWCRM MIGRATION NOTES
The migration is broken up into several stages and the process is easy to
complete.
You cannot go back and alter previous stages, so please fill in the details
carefully.
PREREQUISITES
* You must be running MyITCRM version 0.2.9.3 - The migration might work for
other versions of MyITCRM but the migration process has been developed
specifically for MyITCRM version 0.2.9.3
* MyITCRM must be installed in the same database you are installing QWcrm so it
can read the data to migrate it.
* Make a backup of MyITCRM. The process should run without issue but you need a
backup for the rare occasion where there is a fault.
* Set your database collation to utf8_unicode_ci, QWcrm will work on other
collations but this is the preferred setting.
WHAT DATA IS MIGRATED?
The following data from MyITCRM is migrated into QWcrm:
* Customers
* Customer Notes
* Expenses
* Gift Certificates
* Invoices
* Payments/Transactions
* Refunds
* Schedules
* Suppliers
* Employees (converted to users)
* Work Orders
* Work Order History
* Work Order Notes
All other data is ignored and not migrated and they are such things as:
* Tracker
* Orders
* Cart
* Assets
These features were never finished or did not work properly so the data is not
migrated.
WHAT IS CHANGED?
* All Users
* Will now login with a username and not their display name.
* Passwords will be reset to a random value. This means that users will have
to reset their password to be able to login.
* Will be moved into the Technicians group.
* Usernames will be created by using a sanitised version of user's display
name and this username will match the required QWcrm format. This means
some usernames will be changed.
* All ACL permissions will be reset.
AFTER THE MIGRATION
Once the migration is complete you will either be redirected to the login screen
so you can access QWcrm straight away or if this is a later version of the
software then you will be redirected to the upgrade routine to bring QWcrm up to
the correct version before use.
