Mike Bass

Mike Bass is a singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist. He blends Americana and
folk with unique fingerpicking, snapping, and percussive elements on the guitar
while playing. He is bilingual in English and Japanese, and has original songs
in both languages. Along with being a solo artist, he’s also part of a band
called Creature of One. You can find him performing and creating in a mixture of
in-real-life gigs, streaming on Twitch, and in the web3 space.

Spirit Away is about the self-reflected that occurs post-relationship.

In this case, it’s about me looking in the mirror, seeing the crows feet around
my eyes, a few gray hairs, and wondering Do I still have what it takes to pursue
what I want in life or am I kidding myself?

I can’t say for sure, but I imagine a lot of people go through this at some
point in life, perhaps multiple times. Spirit Away is simply me acknowledging
when those feelings arise. If someone listens to it and can relate, at least
they’ll know they aren’t alone.

TWITCH SESSIONS

This is a fun album to celebrate my 1 year streaming anniversary on Twitch. All
of the songs are live takes during Twitch streams. They are all original songs,
and most are unreleased. You can listen to Twitch Sessions on Audius and
Bandcamp.


CREATURE OF ONE - EVERY SINGLE SOUL

I’m also part of a great band called Creature of One. We’re a genre-smashing
band, creating original music ranging from pop-rock to bluegrass. You can listen
to our first album, Every Single Soul, on Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and
really anywhere you can stream music.
