I have absolutely abandoned a full online shopping cart after checking a
retailer’s return policy. Have you? With Amazon, Target, and Walmart making
returns so easy, return policies can make or break other retailers. I saw the
insanely low prices on Temu and decided to take a look through all of their
return policy details to see if it negates the deals. Spoiler: not really. The
Temu return policy sounds really generous at first glance, particularly after
browsing so many products for under $2 each.
And if you haven’t heard of this online retailer yet, yes, Temu is legit. They
are an online shopping destination that connects millions of independent,
third-party sellers with shoppers from the United States and Canada. Whether you
prefer browsing through their website or utilizing the Temu app, you’ll discover
deals on cookware, apparel, housewares, novelty items, and more. They’re all at
unbelievably affordable prices, though reviews are mixed in terms of whether
products are truly worth even those low, low prices.
But what if you don’t love your purchase? While reading the Temu return policy,
it sounds like returns are surprisingly easy (and, in some cases, free!). But
ultimately a lot of this depends on what and when you order. For all the details

TEMU RETURN POLICY OVERVIEW
YOU HAVE 90 DAYS TO MAKE A FREE RETURN WITH TEMU.
Nearly all items can be returned and refunded within a 90-day window from the
date of purchase. That part is important. You have 90 days from when you placed
the order and NOT when your items arrive at your home. First returns from any
order are absolutely free and shipping labels can be printed through your Temu
account.

ANY SUBSEQUENT RETURNS ARE $7.99.
If you’ve previously made a return from an order and find the need to return
additional items from that same order, it is allowed. As long as it still falls
within the 90-day return period you can proceed with the return process.
However, it’ll cost you. A $7.99 shipping fee will be deducted from your refund
amount for any returns following the first free one. It pays to be strategic
about what you want to keep and what you want to send back. Use that 90-day
window to make a mindful decision about what to keep. Only ship back one return
package to avoid any additional fees.
YOU HAVE 14 DAYS FROM INITIATING THE RETURN TO SHIP YOUR PACKAGE.
It is crucial that you ship your package back to Temu within 14 days of starting
the return process. Any returns shipped after 14 days will not be accepted for a
refund. So before you even log in to your Temu account to initiate the return,
have a plan for getting the package shipped out within the next two weeks.
TEMU DOES NOT OFFER EXCHANGES.
At this time, Temu does not offer exchanges. To exchange an item, make sure it’s
still available and order the correct item. Then just return the item you want
to exchange within the 90-day timeframe for a full refund. They also offer store
credit, which is almost instant (more on that below). So you can simply process
the return first and then order the new product with your store credit.
HOW TO RETURN TO TEMU
The steps for returning items to Temu are pretty simple and straightforward.
You’ll find your receipt in your Temu account and then you can select the items
to return and print out a pre-paid shipping label.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE A TEMU RETURN:
1. Log in to your Temu account and click to view “Your Orders.”
2. Click on “Return/Refund.”
3. Select the items you want to return and your preferred return shipping
method.
4. Print the return label and ship your package.
5. Once Temu receives the return package, you’ll receive your refund.
TEMU RETURN POLICY REFUNDS
Once your return has been processed by Temu, you’re eligible for a refund.
Refund times depend on which refund method you choose and your financial
institution. You’ll receive the full amount of your payment unless the $7.99 fee
is deducted for second returns or another extenuating circumstance (some
restrictions are listed below).
YOU’LL RECEIVE A STORE CREDIT WITHIN MINUTES.
You can opt to receive Temu store credit as a refund method for your returned
order. This is the quickest way to receive payment for your return. Temu may
take up to three days to review your return, but once they’ve processed it, the
store credits are immediately transferred to your account.
REFUNDS TYPICALLY TAKE UP TO 14 DAYS.
If you instead choose to refund your method of payment, Temu will issue the
refund within minutes. Then you’ll wait for your bank or other financial
institution to process the return, which typically takes from 5 – 14 business
days. For credit card or pre-paid credit card payments, this can take up to 30
business days.
TEMU RETURN POLICY RESTRICTIONS
While the return policy is generous, there are some restrictions and things you
can’t ship back for a refund. The restricted items are pretty standard.
THINGS YOU CAN’T RETURN TO TEMU:
* Clothing items that are worn, washed, damaged, with tags, packaging, or
hygiene sticker removed or in an incomplete set.
* Items that are labeled as nonrefundable
* Free gifts
I browsed many items I thought would be nonrefundable, but there weren’t many.
Even most dental care and health products fall under their 90-day return policy.

will be printed on your return label since there are different warehouses. If
you need more info on a specific address, we'd suggest reaching out to Temu
