LONDON und TORONTO, 25. Januar 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Amp Energy, eine weltweit
tätige Plattform für die Energiewende und Entwickler erneuerbarer Energien,
kündigt heute mit seinem 800-MW-Batterieportfolio in Zentralschottland (der
„Scottish Green Battery Complex") die beiden größten Batteriespeicheranlagen
Europas an. Das Portfolio soll im April 2024 in Betrieb genommen werden und wird
aus zwei 400-MW-Batterieanlagen bestehen, die jeweils 800 MWhr
Energiespeicherkapazität bereitstellen.
* Nach Beratungen mit Interessengruppen und Gemeinderäten erhielten die beiden
Standorte am 5. Januar 2022 die Planungszustimmung der Scottish Government
Energy Consents Unit.
* Die 400-MW-Batterien werden die beiden größten netzgekoppelten
Batteriespeicher in Europa sein.
* Amp X, die unternehmenseigene KI-betriebene digitale Energieplattform von
Amp, wird verwendet, um die Übertragung von Strom aus den Batterien in das
Stromnetz zu optimieren.
* Die Projekte werden zuverlässige Netzstabilitätsdienste und Energiemanagement

Offshore-Wind-Ankündigung von ScotWind, 25 GW neue erneuerbare

größer. In den kommenden Jahren werden die schottischen Batterieanlagen von Amp

in Schottland zu erzeugen und in andere Regionen Großbritanniens zu
transportieren, was einer Bereitstellung neuer Offshore-Windenergieanlagen von
rund 500 MW entspricht.

benötigte grüne Infrastruktur und das Vereinigte Königreich wechselt in ein

Die Projekte in Hunterston und Kincardine beteiligen sich auch an der
Ausschreibung Scottish Stability Pathfinder 2 von National Grid, die sich mit
Spannungs- und Stabilitätsproblemen des britischen Stromnetzes befasst. Die
Anlagen von Amp werden hochmoderne netzbildende Wechselrichtertechnologie sowie
zwei neue Installationen von Synchronkondensatoren einsetzen, die auch zur
Netzstabilisierung beitragen.
