My kids are quite fascinated by this and allow a full exam without a single tear. They also like hearing their own heartbeat and the older ones will stay “absolutely “ quiet to hear it LOL. For this alone I am happy with my purchase. I am an older nurse and couldn't hear as well as I used to with my stethoscope. A nurse friend let me listen with the littmann core and I was sold. I bought one the next day. I can hear heart, lung and bowel sounds much better than I did as a young nurse. It has a volume control and a great app that will record 15 seconds of heart sounds. My only comparision is to the Littman Cardiologist scopes I have used over the past 20 years. The sound amplification is the best feature for my use and makes thoracic auscultation easy in our busy and sometimes loud environment. I has a very difficult time with ECG readings, especially on cats. It would be nice to have the software validated for animals. At times I still get on the truck to run calls as a paramedic. It is sometimes very difficult to hear lung sounds in the back of the ambulance. One of my staff (another paramedic) put me onto Eko; she loves hers and swears by it. I purchased the CORE Digital Attachment and it has been a game-changer.
