The days of brick-and-mortar book promotions being the only option are long
gone. The availability of ebooks has dramatically changed how people read – and,
more importantly, buy their books. We will assist you in getting your books on
ebook platforms such as Amazon and in setting up connections for affiliate
marketing.


UNDERSTAND VANITY PUBLISHERS AND WHY YOU SHOULD AVOID THEM

There are thousands of publishers online, but you might not know that many of
them are what we refer to as vanity publishers. There are several reasons why
you may wish to sidestep them.


FULL COPYRIGHT OWNERSHIP IS UNLIKELY

Chances are you will not retain 100% copyright ownership of your book if you
publish with a vanity publisher. Things such as the images used for the cover,
the fonts, and more, may still belong to your publisher after publication.

We give you 100% copyright ownership because you pay for it. You own it all and
can take the designs and the entire final product and print it wherever you
wish.


DECEPTIVE PRICES

Another crucial aspect is that vanity publishers often provide misleading
upfront prices. They might tell you it will cost $4 to print a book but may not
mention that postage can push the price above $12 per item. You will make little
– if any – profit if you sell at such a high price.


UPFRONT PAYMENT REQUESTS

Please note, if a company asks you for upfront payment for their services to
self-publish your book, you are in for an unpleasant experience. You will be
entirely at their mercy once you’ve paid, and they are under no obligation to do
more than the bare minimum if they already have your money.

We never charge clients the total cost before they are wholeheartedly happy with
the book, nor should any other company.




WE ARE NOT VANITY PUBLISHERS, WE ARE COOPERATIVE SELF-PUBLISHERS

This means unlike other so-called self-publishing companies, we give you 100%
copyright to your book, not just to your written words. We give you all
high-resolution files of the cover design, the interior layout and all fonts
used. They are yours, you paid for them, you own them. This also means you do
not have to buy over priced copies of your book from anyone, you are free to
print anywhere at the best costs you can get.

If you decide to deal with an overseas vanity publisher, because they tell you
they can print your book for $4, ask them what the postage is on the books? You
will discover that the book will cost you $14 to $15 after postage. You cannot
make a profit buying a book at $15, you will lose money.

A note of caution: If any company asks you to pay upfront for their publishing
services, be very aware. Once you pay, you are at their mercy. We get emails all
the time from authors who have lost their money or received a book that was well
below standard. We never charge authors full costs before they are happy with
the book; nor should any other company.
