AN OUTLINE OF THE PROJECT


PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF DEAFNESS

A team of healthcare professionals providing a specialized health center for
E.N.T related diseases for the people of Saptari and surrounding areas. Tripty
Narayan Memorial E.N.T Hospital, Since it’s establishment in 2003, has been
working extensively with Children, Adolescents, Women of reproductive age group
and geriatric age group. The hospital is the first in the region providing
specialized E.N.T services with experienced healthcare personnel & advanced
equipment.


WORLD CLASS DOCTORS AND SURGEONS

Statistics show that the majority of E.N.T surgeons are stationed in Kathmandu,
as a result 1 E.N.T specialist serves around 2.5 million people in regions
outside Kathmandu. Our hospital provides access to experts who can help the
population practicing harmful cultural practices, due to lack of awareness and
access to health care services, predisposing a majority of E.N.T morbidity and
vastly leading to Deafness.


COMMUNITY'S HEALTH DEVELOPMENT

The Hospital is responsible for establishing inter-sectoral coordination with
civil society, communities, national and international agencies for propagating
awareness towards prevention of hearing impairment in service areas. Also,
network with primary health care facilities in the area for the same in addition
to training the local manpower, primarily through on the job training on case
management and diagnostic services, supplementing efforts towards human resource
development in the sector.

TNMENT HOSPITAL IS ESTABLISHED WITH THE VISION OF BECOMING A LEADER IN
COMPREHENSIVE DEAFNESS MANAGEMENT IN NEPAL.

Our hospital aims to combat pediatric deafness through early identification
using different diagnostic modalities along with supportive and educational
interventions to aid healthy child development.

I strongly believe that our hospital although being a private organization will
not limit its service to those who show up within the confines of hospital
premises, but also render its care and services to surrounding communities. We
believe in collaboration and would always put forth public private partnership.
