   Salla Lindblad-Palo

   Head Nurse

Social Services, Health Care and Rescue Services Division, Helsinki hospital,
   Suursuo hospital

Years of work experience as a nurse at Helsinki University Hospital (HUS).

digitalization and its opportunities in nursing. Worked on the implementation

Currently, I am working as a supervisor in an international work community. I
am interested in coaching leadership. It is important to take advantage of
the diversity of the work community, and my goal is to coach my team to
perform in the most efficient way. Last year, in our unit we doubled the
number of treatment periods. The national shortage of nurses poses challenges
to everyday healthcare operations. The supervisor's work emphasizes
communication and the ability to get a multicultural team to work towards
common goals. Goals must be created in an employee-oriented manner. The team
must be coached to take responsibility for achieving the goals. Giving
critical feedback to a colleague must be practiced. Therefore, the work
community learns to guide itself. My work emphasizes finding and utilizing
new recruitment methods. You must have the courage to give opportunities to
   international talent.
