Christopher Nolan has long used humongous film cameras to capture action and
landscapes in spectacular detail for the biggest screens. For “Oppenheimer,” the
director needed to capture the interior action within one of history’s most
consequential minds, so he fixed those large-format cameras on the face of actor
Cillian Murphy.
