 * DEPUTY FORENSIC PATHOLOGIST: $180,000 - $265,000 ANNUALLY
   
   Under the general direction of the Chief Forensic Pathologist, is responsible
   for performing post-mortem examinations, including microscopic and toxicology
   studies to determine official cause and manner of death in legally required
   cases. Investigates and identifies cause of death using approved medical
   procedures and notifies next of kin. Conducts authorized autopsies, performs
   macroscopic studies of organs and fluids, microscopic studies of tissues, and
   prepares reports detailing post-mortem inspections, including conditions
   relating to trauma and disease, and a statement relating to cause of death.
   Testifies as an expert witness in criminal cases in Oakland County regarding
   findings.


 * ANIMAL CENSUS WORKER: $14.06 HOURLY
   
   Under limited supervision, is responsible for assisting the census leader in
   taking a census of dog licenses in a particular area. During the summer
   months, systematically goes door to door throughout the county to ensure that
   owners of dogs have secured dog licenses, proving the animals have been
   vaccinated against rabies. Drives to survey and territory areas for daily
   inspection tours. May issue departmental courtesy tickets. Reports other
   incidental findings related to animal welfare as noted during inspections.


 * TECHNICAL OFFICE SPECIALIST: $42,898 - $57,476 ANNUALLY
   
   Functions as an expert in using the County standard and department specific
   software applications, as well as third-party applications and database
   systems. Maintains and updates a large, mission critical database system
   utilized for immediate information needs of staff, as well as regular,
   special, and periodic divisional reports. Researches, compiles, and analyzes
   information and develops new reports and formats as requested by professional
   and administrative staff. May work with Information Technology to resolve
   technical software and hardware problems. Trains staff in the use of
   specialized departmental/divisional software applications. Performs technical
   support duties to assist professional staff members. Assists in developing
   department specific staff and client training materials. May assist with the
   development of new database versions and with authoring web pages using
   standard development tools. Collects data and compiles statistics for
   reporting purposes.
