 * CCSDS ESSENTIALS

This course is designed to equip students with the fundamental concepts and
practices associated with the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems
(CCSDS) standards, emphasizing their application in cybersecurity contexts
for space missions. The curriculum aims to prepare learners to effectively
mitigate and guard against potential or active threats to space platforms,
encompassing activities such as the collection, analysis, and geolocation of
system data to identify, locate, and monitor adversarial targets. Students
will gain proficiency in navigating networks, conducting tactical forensic
analyses, and implementing directed on-net operations, all critical for
managing continuous threat exposure to space platforms. The course structure
includes a comprehensive set of learning objectives tailored to develop a
robust foundation in CCSDS standards and their cybersecurity applications.
Specifically, the program outlines 48 knowledge objectives, 30 skill
objectives, six ability objectives, and 28 task objectives. These objectives
are meticulously designed to align with the NIST National Initiative for
Cybersecurity Education (NICE) framework, specifically targeting the Cyber
Effects (CE) Cyber Operations (CE-WRL-001) work role. Moreover, the course
integrates cutting-edge learning technologies, including an AI-CoPilot for
ongoing adaptive learning and an Extended Reality (XR) platform for immersive
Threat Emulation Exercises (TEX), offering students an unparalleled learning
   experience in space cybersecurity.
