STAIN REMOVAL 101: HELP GETTING OUT YOUR STAINS AND CLEANING YOUR LAUNDRY & HOME

Do you need help with stain removal, house cleaning or laundry? If so, you're in
the right place. This whole site is designed to be a Busy Mom's guide for these
very topics.

Accidents happen, and our homes, and all the things in them, get dirty with use,
especially with kids at home, or even messy adults.

This site is where you can get tips to get your housework done, so you can have
more fun! After all, who wants to be cleaning and doing laundry all the time?

Here are some of the most popular pages about removing stains that you might
find helpful. If you don't see what you're looking for you can also search for
answers on the site here.

You've come to this site looking for answers for how to remove stains, and for
laundry and cleaning advice, and I have it for you.

This site is organized to provide you with information about stain removal in
two ways, by type of stain, such as blood or ink stains, or by the surface which
has gotten stains, such as clothing or carpet stains.

There is not one magic method or product you can use to remove all types of
stains from all types of surfaces.

Unfortunately, it just doesn't work that way.

77Save

You need to use specific stain removers or homemade solutions on specific types
of spots and spills, which will work on certain types of surfaces, but not
others.

You also may need some special equipment and supplies to remove those pesky and
stubborn spots, although there are also times you find that what you need is
already lying around your home.

I have thoroughly researched what stain removers and other supplies work, on
what types of stains and what types of surfaces, and also what doesn't.

That means I've made the mistakes and discoveries for you, so all you have to do
is follow instructions and get things clean!

My hope, and what I'm striving to acheive with this website, is that you won't
have to guess or try everything before finding something that actually works for
you.

I've also helped people save clothing they thought was unsalvageable, like the
laundry success story you can see to the right. Hopefully you can find something
on the site that can help you too!

COMMON SURFACE STAINS

Carpet Stains 101: This section shares what carpet stain removers can be used,
and which ones can't, on various types of carpet fibers.

In addition, it shares proper stain removal techniques for removing spots and
spills from carpet, so you don't damage the carpet fibers or ruin the carpet
backing or pad.

Finally, learn the the steps to remove you carpet stain depending on the type of
stain on the carpet. All the over 100 types of stains listed in the A-Z Guide
give specific instructions for removing spots and spills from carpet.

Clothing Stains 101: Here's the section of the site which explores how to get
all types of stains out of clothes and other washable fabrics.

In addition, I share tips and techniques so you don't accidentally set that
stain.

Finally, the fabric care guide also gives the ins and outs of caring for various
types of fibers, such as cotton, silk, wool and more.

Upholstery Stains 101: Finally, last but not least, is upholstery. Upholstery is
very delicate, so you have to be careful when removing spots and spills from it.

In this section you'll learn how to read the upholstery tag codes to know what
is a safe way to clean your upholstery, and also what you cannot use.

In addition, you can read comparisons of upholstery cleaners and spot removers
so you can find the best ones for various types of stains on upholstery.

STAIN REMOVAL BY TYPE

A-Z Stain Guide: If you need specific information about how to remove a specific
type of spot of spill, check out the A-Z Stain Removal Guide, which has
instructions for removing over 100 specific types of stains.

The Guide shares how to remove all kinds of spots and spills, from apples to
zucchini, giving instructions for clothing, upholstery and carpet.

Reader's Stain Tips: This section of the site allows you to submit tips and read
tips submitted by others all about stain removal, and to help you find
everything I've organized it alphabetically by the type of spill or spot.

As much as I think about and test solutions and techniques throughout the day,
in my own home, I can't encounter either every problem or every solution. That's
where our wonderful community comes in, who has shared all kinds of ideas and
tips with me, and that I've in turn shared with you.

This is another great resource for you, where you can learn from the best
collective wisdom of Busy Moms just like you, who've shared what works the best,
with both home remedies and recommendations for particular products.

In addition, this section also features videos and links to great tips from
around the web that I've found and wanted to share.

GATHER YOUR STAIN REMOVAL SUPPLIES & EQUIPMENT

Recommended Removers: Often the secret to stain removal success is using the
right equipment and supplies, so I've created a couple of sections of the site
to make sure you use the right stuff for the job.

First, in this section I've shared my personal favorite products, that I've
personally tested and used to successfully remove spots and spills from all
kinds of surfaces.

Not all products make the cut, so check out what has.

In addition, in this section I've shared some basic information about some of
the major types of products you can use, so you can use them correctly in the
right situations.

Stain Remover Reviews {Products A-M}: There are so many products available that
are designed to remove spots and spills from various types of surfaces, it can
get a bit overwhelming trying to find what you need.

Although I've tried lots of things, there is no way I can try them all. Plus,
others may have different experiences with products than I do, so I'm so glad
this community of Busy Mom's has shared so many spot remover reviews with me,
which in turn I've published here to help you.

If you've ever wondered if a product's claims are accurate or not, here's your
source to find out. Plus, people have shared what products worked best for what
types of stains or surfaces.

This section has gotten so popular, and large, on the site I've split it into
two pages. Click the link above for products beginning with A - M, and here are
Spot Remover Reviews {Products N-Z}.

STILL CAN'T FIND WHAT YOU WANT?

Removing Stains: Rules & Techniques: If you're still trying to find what you
need on this site, as it deals with spot removal, this may be just the section
for you.

Here's where I've shared the top 10 rules to make stain removal successful, as
well as giving your instructions for the most effective techniques for removing
stains, depending on the circumstance.

Ask Me For Stain Help: Finally, if all else fails post your stain removal
question in the help section of the site, and I, Taylor, will try to respond to
your question on the site.

I may not have the answers, but even if I don't perhaps another visitor will
read and comment with tips or suggestions too.
