INTERVIEW QUESTION !

I had 2 amazing interviews . The recruiter said they absolutely loved me and I
was the only person to make it to the finals. Then I got sick … the week of my
final interview I got sick so I asked to reschedule . I thought they would offer
me a few dates but instead they just sent me an invite with no other options . I
took it and was still sick 5 days later . I felt obligated to go ; I think
canceling it again would have removed me from the opportunity. long story short
bc I was unwell I bombed the final interview . I didn’t sleep the night before
and I was loopy , not thinking clearly , not sharp . is there any way to recover
from this or just kiss the job good bye . I think they will be confused since
the first two people spoke so highly .

As a recruiter, I will often ask candidates to let me know how their interviews
go with the hiring leaders. So I absolutely think you should reach out the
recruiter. Be honest with them about how you felt things went and ask if they
got any feedback from the final interviewers. Maybe you think you bombed it but
they thought it was great. Or... If their feedback is less than excellent, you
can ask for an opportunity to meet with them for a quick follow up now that you
are feeling better. Just be honest that you were disappointed in how you did and
that you weren't at your best. IF this is a job you really want, then I would
encourage you to take a few extra steps to show them that you really are
interested.

While I'm sure you explained your condition to those interviewing you. So you
did what you could. Now it's in their hands. If they follow up with a 2nd chance
great. But just get busy with other opportunities. Where there is one great
interview there will be countless others.

Definitely reach out and explain what happened; why you rescheduled and that you
still weren't at 100% but didn't feel like you could comfortably reschedule.
Without question, talk to the recruiter you're working with.

No harm in speaking with the recruiter.
