In any sport, the element of surprise and outwitting your opponent is a big part
of winning, and TVNZ certainly caught many of its rivals off guard this week.The
state-owned broadcaster this morning confirmed a content partnership agreement
with Spark Sport, a deal that will see most of Spark’s sports rights end up on
TVNZ channels from July next year. Sport, including all of New Zealand Cricket’s
home matches, will feature on TVNZ and streaming platform TVNZ+ as Spark makes a
