Celebrating the Best Designs, Technologies and Powertrains in Automotive



See your colleagues take the stage to accept honors on behalf of their teams,
hear what’s happening in each industry, and meet your counterparts from other
manufacturers and suppliers.

Our team of expert analysts evaluate nominated vehicles within each category
over a designated amount of time by driving each vehicle on their daily
commutes. They assess the features in each vehicle based on their judging
criteria set for each 10 Best category. After all analysts have sat behind the
wheel of each vehicle, they gather virtually to talk through their experience,
where they then agree upon the Wards 10 Best.













WardsAuto has announced the annual Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX winners for
2023, with a record six battery-electric vehicles (BEV), up one from last year’s
five, making the list. Including the Kia Sportage Hybrid, seven of the winners
are electrified, either fully or partially.

Wards analysts selected the 2023 list after evaluating 21 vehicles with new or
heavily redesigned interiors and user-experience technology. Evaluations took
place earlier this year, with judges experiencing the vehicles during their
daily driving.

The nominated vehicles were evaluated on a variety of aspects that shape the
user’s experience inside the vehicle including aesthetics and design of the
interior, material quality, fit and finish, connectivity infotainment options,
comfort and usability of controls and features, instrument-panel design,
information delivery and ease of operation, availability and performance of
driver-assistance features, as well as overall value.

Hundreds of the world’s top powertrain personnel join WardsAuto each year as we
honor the winners of our annual Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems
program. It’s the nation’s only awards program recognizing powertrain
excellence, and our 29th year of gathering the industry’s top talent involved in
powertrain to celebrate their remarkable achievements.

Wards analysts and editors evaluate nominated vehicles based on power, torque,
efficiency and more during their everyday commutes. While evaluating the
vehicles, only powertrains that are all-new, or significantly improved, are
eligible for testing.
