The arrival time was scheduled between 8-9 AM. They arrived a bit after 8 AM and
loaded everything by 9:00AM. They were very fast and it was an elevator
building.

My new place was 3 floor staircases and they still unloaded everything in about
1.5 hour. I was impressed with the speed and the efficiency.

Had an amazing moving experience with Michael's Moving and Storage. I had a last
minute move that needed to be done with less than a week's notice. Michael's was
super accommodating and was able to get me moved 3 days after I called! The
whole move only took about 2 1/2 hours including getting everything set up in my
new apartment, and were also able to take care of junk removal for me!
Everything was moved in perfect condition, including 4 mirrors which I was most
worried about. The movers were extremely nice and accommodating, and the price
was not nearly as expensive as I thought it would be. Turned a day that would've
taken me 12+ hours and a lot of pain on my own, to an easy 3 hour experience.

within 30 minutes, Ian gave me a call to review my inventory list and provide a
quote. I also had access to this quote through an online portal. We moved
forward with scheduling our move for a weekend, and it was great to know there

The day of crew arrived right on schedule and called to let me know when they
were on their way. The three men who arrived were courteous, professional, and
very quick to get the job done. They offered to help with removing shelves and

We used Micheal’s moving and storage for moving our business studio. Normally
moving is always stressful but Micheal’s team made the whole move very easy and
stress free. We initially talked to Sophina, who was very informative and
helpful. She helped us with doing our inventory, provided us a very accurate
quote and answered all our questions. We chose partial packaging package. On the
day of the move three gentleman Angel, Sigfredo and Milton arrived right on
time. We did a quick run down of the whole place and they got to work. They were
very careful with all of our belongings and moved even the heavy items with
ease. I know for a fact that I would have screwed up my back if we didn’t hire
them. We were being charged by an hour but these three gentlemen were so quick
that they finished one hour before than we expected. I’m so happy with our
decision to hire Micheals. We will definitely hire them if we need to move and

seemed to be the best reviewed and most reasonably priced. Movers were
excellent. Very skilled and did a great job. Actual price was fairly close to
the quote. Only reason for 4 stars was that it took 17 days to deliver our stuff
and I had to be more proactive asking for updates. Need to give a special shout
out to Hilbert, who was amazing and moved our entire 3 bed house BY HIMSELF in
like 4 hours.

I have used Michael’s Moving five times and it will soon be six in the past four
years and they honestly have been the best helpers on the planet. When I had a
gap in my housing they were able to store my stuff and it was such a reasonable
price. Brian takes care of me at the hiring level, gets Freddieand the crew all
set, always the right number of guys, and I’m always happy to give them a good
tip because all of them are careful and care about this move as much as you do.
I have never had a problem with anybody at Michael’s, wonderful phone staff,
excellent foreman, fantastic crewmen… They did help me out by moving some of my
friends’ things one time, and now those women have given them a bad review even
though Michael’s did a super job, they are petty and have a problem with me,
they were not Michael’s client, I was. I always hire Michael’s again and again

twice in less than a month and both moves were made infinitely better with their
help.

They moved my daughter from one third floor walk-up to another third floor
walk-up in Boston in record time. This was a horrible move to make -- she had
big exercise equipment and furniture that only fit in their unit because it was
assembled there. Michael's Moving made it so easy and it couldn't have gone
better.

I just moved from Newton to near the Rhode Island line and they made my move as
painless as a move can be. I spent weeks packing and organizing and planning,
maybe even agonizing. And then they moved it all in just a few hours with no
hassles, no surprises, and no damage.

They were very courteous and extremely efficient. You wouldn't necessarily think
that movers are artists, but they are. Every single thing they do shows so much
thought and care for both the building and your items. And the way they navigate
space with large items is amazing.

As far as price and value, I couldn't be happier. The Boston studio apartment to
a Boston studio apartment with three flights of stairs on each end was less than
$1k before the tip.

My move across the state, to and from a two bedroom with a lot of stuff (work at
home life), was just over $1,500 including the tip.

I couldn't be happier or more relieved that I found Michael's Moving and
Storage. And I hope I never have to move again, but when I do, I will be calling
them again.

For a person who’s moved many times in my life, with movers and without, I have
to hand it to these guys! They were on time or early, they brought any tool or
supply that we didn’t have, were super communicative, asked for a tour before
hand to see what items were going and which ones were not, as was in our case,
we ran out of smaller boxes and these guys took any precaution I would have, had
I packed the items myself. I realized this while I unpacked. They were amazingly
fast and methodical from the quote to the last moment. We were done by one pm,
they began at 8:30, and that included the hour drive in route 95 traffic! Thanks

Best moving company in town!!
Had to move on a short notice and this was no problem for Michael's Moving
Company. The friendly office staff surveyed my living situation, calculated
supplies, travel distance, etc.. and quoted me a price I could not refuse.

I am impressed with every aspect of Michael’s Moving. We needed to move up two
flights of stairs. Bryan called me and had me walk through every piece of
furniture and helped me estimate how many boxes we would have. He gave me an
estimate that was comparable to others I had, but I picked them for their
responsiveness and thorough inventory-taking. The 3 movers who showed up didn’t

About a month ago, we hired Michael's after seeing positive reviews here on
Yelp, as well as on FB Parents Groups reviews/recommendations.  The person I
dealt with over the phone was Ian.  He was very helpful and knowledgeable.  He
answered calls and returned calls very quickly.  We used them for a local move
within the same town/city.  The prices were competitive, and they were flexible
on the day and times.  (Of course, we were using them in a "slow" moving period,
so I'm sure it was relatively easy for them to be flexible.)

The three person crew showed up on time, were professional, friendly, and
offered assistance many times to do anything that was needed (moving things
around, putting other things together, etc).  The move took approximately 6
hours.  Overall, they did a great job.

We had a couple of minor concerns/issues, and when I called Michael's to
discuss, the rep we spoke with was Ian, once again.  He was very receptive to my
explanation of the problem, but more importantly, offered me a refund of part of
the agreed payment.  And, that refund was issued almost immediately!  So, a
possible 4 star review, went right back up to 5 stars, because of the positive
way they handled the situation.  No one is perfect, but when one owns up to a
mistake or issue, and "makes it right", it shows what type of person/company
they are.   I will be using them again in about a month for an out of state move
for my mother.

I can't recommend Michael's Moving and Storage enough! We used them a few months
back for a local move that required us to store our belongings for two nights
before we could move into our new place. The team was super responsive and
friendly during the planning process, and I couldn't have been happier with the
crew who moved us both out of our old place and into the new. They were
friendly, efficient, professional, and took great care of our belongings. We
priced out a lot of moving companies since it can be costly, and I felt that
Michael's was the best value. Moving is so stressful to begin with, and we were

I had a great experience with Michael's moving I moved from California to Texas
they were professional, fast and took great care with my things. When they
picked up my items I had some concerns with fragile items I packed, he repacked
it for me. They went over my boxes and all my items and confirmed it with the
invoice. They loaded my things with great care. My things were set to arrive 2
weeks later approximately however they arrived before I did. It's a good thing
my daughter and son in law were able to meet the movers. All my things arrived
and the only thing that was damaged was the corner of a side table. The only
thing that could have made this experience any better was if they had
communicated the arrival date. Overall I had a great experience and I will be
using them again when I move.

After I did some searching around for a moving company within the Boston area, I
came across Michael Moving & Storage. I had three guys to move me from a 2
bedroom. They arrived earlier than expected and were really nice!

As soon as we got into the apartment, they began to work. I appreciated the fact
that they communicated with me when unsure about where furniture was going to be
placed or which rooms the boxes were going to. They worked as a team, very
organized, fast but took great care of my items during the move.

Moving can be super stressful, but they literally took all my worry away. At the

From my first interaction with the team at Micheal’s I was impressed. The crew
was fantastic. Jonathan, Manuel and Francisco were polite and professional
throughout the move. I had never hired a moving company before and felt kind of

Michael’s moving company made the move easy and seamless. When I called to book
the movers, Crystal was so great. She walked through the process and the quote
she gave me was pretty accurate. I had to call them back and reschedule 3 times
due to some complications with the landlord and the previous tenant. Crystal
helped us rescheduled without any problems or penalty. The movers showed up on
time and finished everything in under 4 hours. I didn’t get all of their names
but Felipe was the manager and he 3 guys with him (Jose, Willie, and one other
guy). They were all professional, polite, and just really good at what they do.
They finished the job and not a single scratch on any of our furniture. Will

I can’t say thank you enough to Michael’s Moving & Storage. We just completed a
long distance move from Boston to Florida with 4 months of storage in their
storage facility. Every step of the way was a pleasure. From the initial quote,
to scheduling, to packing up the truck in Boston, to storage in Boston, and
finally to unloading it in Florida, it was nothing but a great experience. The
movers did an incredible job disassembling furniture and wrapping everything to
protect it. Upon delivery, they reassembled everything perfectly. Both crews

We want to thank Michael's Moving and Storage of Boston. Their team was amazing.
They arrived on time, assessed the storage unit and asked for input and
instructions and took care of all of our belongings as if they were their own.
When arriving at our new home (an hour and half away) they again walked through
the home prior to unloading. I just stood there and told them which room it was
going to and they moved everything and also set up bedding and our dining room
table. We have unpacked the majority of our boxes and only had one coffee cup
broken (probably on me) no damage at all and they took extra care to clean up
any packing material/wrapping/tape that was around. We have used movers before
and these guys are by far the best and very reasonable in pricing.

The crew from Michael's were fast and friendly. The three person crew cleared
our 1,000 sq ft condo in an hour. Everything was neatly packed and then unloaded
according to our instructions.

The quoting process was done over the phone and took about 10 mins to talk
through all the rooms in order to get an accurate quote. Actually the final cost
ended up being almost half the original quote because we went ahead and moved a
lot of the little items. It is nice that they adjust the price to the actual
hours worked.

The crew was very friendly and professional. They took several heavy items up 3
flights of stairs with a smile. Not a single item was damaged.

They are amazing! Caesar, Leo and Edwardo arrived early and got right to work
carefully moving our large furniture (beds, dressers, kitchen table, chairs,
couches etc). We compared prices for a few other local movers and they were by

The folks at Michael's Moving & Storage are fantastic. What a great crew! Total
pros, and great guys. Our move was complicated. It involved furniture and boxes
to be moved between states, with pickups and drop-offs at four locations one of
which was a 3-story walk-up. Watching Gabriel, Manny & Leo negotiate a 500 lb 10
ft table down 3 flights without touching a single wall or railing was seriously
impressive. They were equally impressive on the delivery end of the project.
This is the second (or possibly 3rd?) time we've used Michael's to move both us
and our business, and I will use them again in the future. Highly recommended!

This was our second time moving with Michael's and the second time they did a
fantastic job! The movers loaded everything from our old apartment and then
everything into our new apartment (third floor walk-up) in less than three
hours. The movers went above and beyond to protect our furniture during the move

3 men came for my local 1 bedroom move. They packed the Uhaul from my old
building, drove to my new apt, and unloaded the Uhaul in under 2.5 hours! So
efficient and productive- these guys were able to help us save hours! Prices
were reasonable and more affordable than a lot of other companies in the area (I
originally sent out quotes to about 11 companies). My final payment ended up
being even cheaper than the original quote! There was no damage to any of my
items which is extremely important to me. Highly recommend and I will use this
company again in the future for sure!

Working with Michael's Moving for our recent move from Allston to the burbs was
a breeze, though you should make sure you explicitly specify that you need
hoisting services ahead of time (it costs extra), as my sales person and I got
wires crossed apparently.
That said, our move crew day-of was absolutely incredible. I have never met four
more hardworking and efficient guys. They arrived on time, called ahead as
promised, and were "on it" from the time they parked the truck. I'll never
understand how they managed to fit all of our stuff into that truck, but they
worked magic.
Hoping not to move again any time soon, but I would absolutely use Michael's
Moving again and would request Felix, Charlie, Willy, and Eddie again if I
could!

The measure of a business is how they react when things go wrong.

Despite extreme care, our sideboard's marble top got damaged during the move.
The guys on the truck immediately told us what happened, and explained how the
repair would be managed. Then, Michael's kept us updated as to how and when the
repair was done, and delivered the repaired top.

What could have been a tense interaction was pleasant, smooth, and professional.

I will definitely use Michaels' again and can highly recommend their services.

Michaels did an amazing job..I researched a ton of spots and they were best with
customer service and value. They were much cheaper than Giant and other
competitors and did a fantastic job. They were super responsive, extremely
efficient and absolutely no issues at all with fragile and delicate items. They
were also great at finishing packing some of our items that needs extra care,
and reassembled some major furniture pieces in the exact rooms we wanted. We
ended up relying on them for some supplies here and there and for proper boxes,
etc which can add up so would recommend you pack as much yourself.

Overall was extremely happy and would definitely call them again.

that I surprised them with, but they were happy to do it. A small hiccup in the

Easy and efficient booking experience. I also needed to store my stuff for a
week, which they were able to do without overcharging like some other companies.
The movers were great, took care of the stuff and packaged as needed for
storage. There was a small problem with time charged, but when I spoke with the
company they determined where the problem was and fixed the issue. Fair prices,
excellent moving team, and a company that does want to do right by customers.

to the nicest rep on the phone. They called 1/2 hour before they arrived,
handles my items with care. One item I had is a glass curio cabinet that was my
moms and they took extra special care of it . r my destination they , looked

everything in.  3 of the nicest men I have met, worked hard and got my move down

What an absolute dream team!!! I can’t imagine a smoother move. Bryan was so
helpful during the entire process from me shopping around for rates (this place
was BY FAR the best value) to helping me at the end of the move when I
inadvertently gave $20 less in tip than I meant to (he let me tip in my card
after the fact and sent the receipt immediately). Crystal was also super
responsive. I enjoyed every call I had with the both of them. The foremen were
quick, friendly, and professional. My furniture was adequately wrapped and my
boxes were handled with care. I would 100% use these movers again. Absolutely no
critiques or concerns. I’m a new loyal customer. My next move will for sure be
with Michael’s!!

Edited only to add that the entire move was Covid safe. The movers wore high
quality masks and kept their distance while being responsive to my requests on

If there were 10 stars to give I would give this company 11. I cannot believe
how easy, and calming it was to have these three gentlemen move some of my most
precious items. Along with everything else I own! If you have the need to have a
mover this is the best choice. Try to request Caesar, Yovanne, and Wilson . They

I had a small move with a couple of pieces of high value, fragile furniture from
a 1 bedroom apartment up a flight of stairs to a house. I got a few quotes from
other big brand companies that told me, at a minimum, it would be $1300. I got
that quote range from 4 different companies I had seen my neighbors use before.
I also had a really hard time understanding their invoices because it seemed
like there were a lot of hidden fees!

Michael's came in promising it'd cost less than half than that for them to do a
fantastic job. They packed fragile items with care, and didn't charge for
wrapping or moving sheets. They not only gave me minimum costs, but *maximums*
so that if they got stuck in traffic I wasn't paying hundreds for it! All of my
furniture including an antique sewing machine cabinet and hand carved wooden end
tables got there completely undamaged. They even set up our dining room table!

I'd strongly recommend them for anyone moving in Boston. We'll be definitely
using them again the next time we move.

Moved a from studio from Everett to Brookline 3 man crew. I moved from a
building with elevator to a basement studio brownstone no elevator on a holiday
weekend. My appointment was from 1-4. So I reserved the elevator from 1p-4p. At
2:30p get the call on the way. Call leasing office oh yeah will unlock the
elevator oh by the way we are closing early at 4p. So you have an hour to hold
the elevator! Well guess what Gabriel & 2 other awesome dudes not a issue they
were done in less than an hour & were loading up the truck with 15-20m to spare.
I had another stop in Brookline line to pick up a free sofa. They got it with
ease even helped take an unwanted shelf down to the dumpster. So professional &
fast I highly suggest you book Michael's moving.

We have used Michael's 5 times in last few years for ourselves and family
members the last time was jan 30. From Winthrop to central Ma.  
I just have to say how professional the three guys were and polite I'm amazed
every time we use them everything is wrapped and taped up so nothing has ever
been scratched or dented. This includes the walls and ceilings and floors of
where we came from and moved to.   I have move on my own when I was younger and
after watching them and how incredible a job they do I would never do it myself
or ask friends to do it. I've heard others use places cheaper and less reputable
than Michael's and they ended up claiming 12k dollars in damage to their
furniture and new house.  We can't say enough but thank you very much for
another incredible experience moving with you!!!

My roommates and I recently had to move due to a fire in our building. Michael's
Movers were incredible. They provided a very detailed quote and showed up on
time . Due to the water damage our elevator was broken so the movers took all of
our stuff down 5 flights of stairs and then up 5 flights at our new apartment.
DESPITE this they kept their masks on the entire time -- i get winded just
walking up the stairs NOT carrying any boxes so im sure this was difficult for
them. They were polite, careful, and made a stressful experience a lot better.

We couldn't have asked for a better and easier experience with Michael's movers.
My husband and I got the full pack package for our studio apartment to be moved
into our new condo. Leo, Caesar and Manuel packed and moved the entire place in
less than 3 hours. They were friendly the entire move and were careful in
packing our belongings--not one thing was broken. The company was amazing at
communication from the second I started inquiring about the move. Last but not
least, the move was 500$ less than what they estimated! I recommend them to

Since it a local business I went with them and avoided the big companies. The
sales rep was professional and promised what I wanted, however the movers esp
the supervisor was too much rushed, then just somehow threw the things in the
closet did not help move part of the kitchen and left. Their behavior was
professional though. I felt that they were not briefed properly about the nature
of our move. We had to move some of our stuff. I was upset and expressed my
concern about the overall service by company.. The company customer spl took my
concerns seriously and followed up with me so they can coach their staff. So I
think that they will offer better service next time.

We have to move boxes from Quincy to a warehouse in Chelsea. The drop off was in
freight forwarding company. This took a little time as there was a queue in the
drop off locations. The guys were very patient and helpful as we waited for the
drop off. I was embarrassed that it was taking time but the guys were very
