HOW DOES MICROFICHE SCANNING WORK?


1 - COLLECTION

We will pack and collect the microfiche from your office through our internally
managed fleet of tracked vehicles. For large-scale projects, a collection
schedule will be arranged to suit your diary


2 - SCANNING

On arrival, all archive boxes are booked onto our internal tracking system and
transferred to production where each microfiche is digitised into your preferred
format (e.g. PDF). 


3 - DELIVERY

The electronic records are uploaded to the cloud, enabling flexible, remote
access and effective document management. Alternatively, you can choose access
via SFTP or an encrypted hard-drive. 


4 - SHREDDING

Finally, we can arrange for the physical microfiche to be securely shredded.
Alternatively, for your peace of mind we can store the archive or arrange their
physical return to your office.

WHAT TYPE OF MICROFICHE DO I HAVE? 

Microfiche is a traditional storage tool used to preserve scaled-down
reproductions of documents, newspapers and maps. Traditionally used by councils,
architects and construction firms, typically there are three types of
microfiche- 16mm, 35mm and COMBI fiche.


16MM MICROFICHE

 * 16mm microfiche typically contains A3/A4 size documents and the frame is 6 X4
   inches. 


35MM MICROFICHE

 * 35mm microfiche typically contains documents which range from A3, A2, A1 and
   A0 in size. Types of documents are large-format drawings such as maps, plans
   and drawings. 


COMBI MICROFICHE

 * COMBI microfiche contains a combination of standard and large format
   drawings.
