India has undoubtedly become a hotbed of innovation over recent years, with one
of the most dynamic startup scenes across the globe. CB Insights reported that
Asia was the #1 region for global venture deals in 2021. Asia is home to the top
three countries with the leading/growing number of unicorns created year on year
– China, India and South Korea. In India, a unicorn is created every week.
Across Asia, Microsoft cloud is the platform of choice to empower the ambition
of startups whether consumer or B2B SaaS solutions to enable them to scale
across Asia and globally.

About the Contest:

Why should Startup participate? Founders consistently share that the Startup
journey is unpredictable and filled with uncertainty. Through this Hackathon, we
want to provide flexibility for startups to work with Microsoft as they shape
their businesses. With this platform, startups can build their businesses at
their own pace This hackathon will provide founders/CTOs with free resources
including Azure credits, access to SME’s and various skilling initiatives, to
help them overcome the challenges their startups face.

What should they build? Solve a business challenge by building a prototype on
the cloud platform leveraging Azure services

 * Create digital solutions to empower business innovation

 * Solutions for smart cities, energy efficiency, sustainable cities and
   communities, clean water and sanitization, industry innovation and
   infrastructure.

How should they build? Turn your ideas into solutions with more than one hundred
services to build, deploy, and manage applications in the cloud, on-premises,
and at the edge. If you can imagine it, you can build it on Azure, using the
tools, languages, and frameworks you’re already familiar with. Build apps with
best-in-class tools, your favorite open-source frameworks and languages and a
platform that supports a range of services and continuous collaboration and
delivery

What is in it for Startups?

 * 100 shortlisted startups to get $300 Azure Credits as part of the Hackathon
   to build their prototype on Azure.
 * Top 25 startups are also eligible to join Microsoft for Startups. Benefits as

 * It is an online hackathon, to participate you need to be an Early stage
   (Pre-Seed, Seeded - Series A, B) Startup.

 * The Startup needs to have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)

 * One entry per Startup and as a team can compete with a maximum of 4
   participants

 * You must form a Team comprising of minimum 1 participant and maximum of 4
   participants (“Team”)

 * Only Startups that are registered in India are allowed to participate.

 * The Idea phase of the hackathon will start on 20/04/22 00:00 AM IST and end
   on 19/05/22 23:55 PM IST. The Prototype phase will start on 21/05/22 00:00 AM
   IST and end on 19/06/22 23:55 PM IST. You must work on your hack during the
   allotted time only.

 * You must have registered as a team for this hackathon on the link
   (https://www.techgig.com/hackathon/national-level-start-up-hackathon-2022) to
   be eligible.

 * The contest is designed to encourage startups in technology to showcase
   expertise on Microsoft Azure Services and develop a solution to the problem
   statements in the theme featuring on the contest site.

 * We are not responsible for late or lost entries.

 * Once the hackathon starts, you can submit the hack once only. This hack will
   be considered as the final submission.

 * You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, any idea that has
   been copied from where will be disqualified.

 * Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration.

 * You should only use Microsoft Azure for this Hackathon. You can also use
   other Microsoft tools like Visual Studio, Powerapps, GitHub and other tools.
   You cannot use any compete products.

 * Organiser or a jury constituted by Organiser will shortlist the entries based
   on usage of Azure services, novelty, uniqueness, innovative, scalability,
   sustainability and practicality of the Solution.

 * The intellectual property of your code belongs only to you and your team.

 * By participating in the hackathon, you agree to the above rules.

How do I make a submission in Idea Submission and Prototype Round?

The guidelines for submissions on Github are mentioned on the concurrent tab,
please check that. Submissions through any other format/link are not accepted.

Will I see my score immediately?


For Online Hackathon Round, scores will appear in few days after evaluation from
TechGig.

I cannot enter my full e-mail id in the login box, what should I do?

The login box accepts email id as long as 200 characters. If you continue to
face an issue, then please clear your browser cache.

I have attempted a question in a level twice, which score of mine will be
considered and added in the leader board?


The score which is highest in the hackathon will be considered and added in your
leaderboard. Suppose you are participating in Idea submission round and you
score 50 marks and 70 marks in 2 of your attempts. In this case 70 marks will be
added to your final score in leader board.



Can I view others solutions?

No, you can not.

How Can I see next question?

Click on Next or Previous button to jump between questions.

Winner declaration criteria?

Winner list may be different from "Leader board Final" list due to following
reasons

 * If any candidate is found having duplicate accounts for any kind of reasons
   then he/she will be disqualified even if the candidate scores highest marks.
 * If two or more candidates are found to have same submission in Online
   Hackathon Round then all of them will be disqualified.
 * All the prizes related to any category will be delivered only after the
   completion of Hackathon.

Prizes?

 * Prize winners will be chosen by TechGig. In all matters, the decision of the
   TechGig shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered
   into.
 * Prizes are non–transferable and there is no cash alternative.
 * Prizes are awarded at the discretion of TechGig and no prizes will be awarded
   as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant.

SECTION 1: SIGN IN TO YOUR EXISTING GITHUB ACCOUNT OR SIGN UP FOR A NEW ACCOUNT

 1. Navigate to the URL github.com from your browser
 2. If you have an existing GitHub account, click on the Sign in button and
    enter your account credentials
 3. If you do not have an existing GitHub account, click on the Sign up button
    and follow through the steps required to sign up


SECTION 2: STEPS TO CREATE A REPOSITORY FOR ALL YOUR HACKATHON SUBMISSIONS

 1.  Sign in to github.com with your GitHub account
 2.  Search for the repository msft-code-titans /national-level-start-up-
     hackathon-2022 using the Search Bar in ‘All GitHub’ as shown below
     
 3.  Alternatively, you can navigate to the URL https://github.com/msft-code-
     titans/national-level-start-up-hackathon-2022 from your browser and skip to
     Step 5
 4.  Click on the msft-code-titans/national-level-start-up-hackathon-2022
     repository from the results as shown below
     
 5.  Navigate to the main page of the repository msft-code-titans/national-
     level-start-up-hackathon-2022
     
 6.  Click on the Use this template button
 7.  Create a new repository page from national-level-start-up-hackathon-2022
     page comes up
     
 8.  Enter a Repository Name of your choice in the textbox provided
 9.  Please note, this repository will be used for all further stages of this
     hackathon, so name your repository with care
 10. Enter a Description ( this is optional )
 11. Please select Public repository visibility
 12. Ensure that the Include all branches checkbox is unchecked
 13. Click on the Create repository from template button
 14. The landing page of your repository should be similar to the screenshot
     below
     
 15. This section completes the steps required to create the repository where
     you will upload your ideas and your prototype source code for the Hackathon


SECTION 3: STEPS FOR “IDEAS” SUBMISSION

 1. Once you are ready to submit your idea for the hackathon, please follow the
    instructions in this section
 2. Sign into your GitHub account
 3. Navigate to the Code tab of the repository created as per Section 2 above
 4. Update the README.md inside the idea folder of the repository to describe
    the idea that you are submitting for the hackathon use case
    
 5. Once you are ready to upload your idea, please follow the steps below
 6. Please note that size limits for uploading files to GitHub are as follows:
    * Uploading via browser UI: 25 MB per file
    * Uploading via git push: Upto 50 MB. Warning is generated at 50 MB+
    * Uploading via git push: 100 MB+ files are blocked
 7. We recommend that the size of your file be around 25 MB. For larger files,
    please try uploading the file using git push
 8. Upload your PowerPoint presentation ( or other acceptable format ) of your
    idea to the idea folder in your repository or run the git push command to
    upload the file
 9. Please upload the URL to the TechGig site


SECTION 4: STEPS FOR “PROTOTYPE SOURCE CODE” SUBMISSION

Please ensure that you have submitted your idea before proceeding to this step.
 1. Once you are ready to submit your source code for the hackathon, please
    follow the instructions in this section
 2. Sign into your GitHub account
 3. Navigate to the Code tab of the repository created as per Section 2 above
 4. Update the README.md inside the source folder of the repository to describe
    the prototype source code that you are submitting for the hackathon use case
    
 5. Once you are ready to upload your prototype source code, please follow the
    steps below
 6. Please note that size limits for uploading files to GitHub are as follows:
    NaN. Uploading via browser UI: 25 MB per file
    NaN. Uploading via git push: Upto 50 MB. Warning is generated at 50 MB+
