PROVIDER HELP

Please see below for some commonly seen enquiries regarding NDIS billing through
plan management. For more in-depth information, please download our useful
Providers Handbook which provides a range of tips, examples and links to help
you navigate the NDIS process.




NDIS PROVIDER INVOICE TIPS AND TRICKS

When preparing invoices there are certain items that are required on an invoice
in order for it to be paid. This forms part of our own internal audit function
and NDIS requirements. Without these items we will not be able to pay your
invoice.

We appreciate that all businesses have different accounting software but as a
minimum the NDIS Support line item must be included.

In addition,

 * the participant NDIS number is included.
 * your contact name & email address
 * a phone number so we can resolve any issues.


EXAMPLE INVOICE

Please download an example invoice, it should include:

 * Your Business Name
 * Your ABN
 * Client Name
 * Invoice Number
 * Invoice Date
 * Services provided (NDIS Support Line Number is Essential)
 * Service rate or Quantity provided
 * Banking details
 * Email Address for Remittance Advice

OTHER INFORMATION

If the amount you invoiced is above the amount allowed we will only pay up to
the Hourly/Qty Rate allowed.

PROCESSING TIMES

As Accountants and a small business we understand the importance of prompt
payment. We generally claim from the NDIS 4 times a week. As a result in most
cases you should expect to be paid in 5 business days assuming your invoice is
received in the appropriate format.

Occasionally there are issues, and, in each case, we will endeavour to make
contact if there is any delay in payment.

If you haven’t received payment after 8 working days, please contact us.

Please note if it’s the first time we are paying you allow 10 business days.

SERVICE AGREEMENT: IMPORTANT INFORMATION

It’s important that all parties know how much a participant will be charged
during the life of a plan.  The participant will have a limited budget that can
not be exceeded. To protect the participant and the provider it’s important that
each of them know how much will be charged for services. Service agreements are
generally the best way to do this. Creating a service agreement is outside the
scope of this article. As a provider, here are some simple steps on what you
should do:

 * Obtain the plan dates. These are the dates that you can provide services
   within
 * Determine the price you will charge for your services
 * Calculate the amounts you will charge for the life of the plan
 * Include this in your service agreement
 * Communicate this to the participant and ourselves

There are a number of online calculators that can assist. A google search for
“NDIS Support calculator” can help with calculating the amount charged. To
assist, you can enter the details of the service agreement on this website.

allocate funds. Once completed you can send these to sa@peakplan.com.au for
processing.
