SENIOR STYLIST / COLOURIST / MANAGER

Meet Mike, senior hairstylist and manager in our Neukölln salon. Born in Warsaw,
despite graduating in chemistry, he had always known that hair is his true
passion. He gained over 16 years of experience in the Best salons in Warsaw
participating in seminars and trainings. Mike likes clean, light hair cuts and
natural colours, in which he introduces elements of avant-garde. There’s no
greater joy to him than seeing the smile of a client in his chair. In his spare
time he enjoys traveling South-East Asia.

Our German senior hairstylist Sammy is based in our Neukölln salon. She has been
cutting hair for over 10 years and is still super passionate about the work she
does. What she loves the most about it is being around so many different and

Our Berlin based master hairstylist Yan’s experience spans across three of the
main European cities: Paris, London and now Berlin. He’s headed up teams in
charge of fashion events, worked with designers and trained other stylists.
Berlin’s the city he loves, from where he continues his passion for hairdressing
alongside director roles for Paris Fashion Week.

Born in the south of France, our Neukölln based senior hairstylist Julia worked
for 8 years in a concept store with hairdresser, records and second-hand
clothes. Alongside she would do regular styling at electronic music events in
Avignon. Passionate about art and photography, she can now express herself in
colors. Whether vivid or natural, she likes to find effortless low maintenance
creations for her clients. A good bond with clients is important to her; to be
able to have an informal and relaxing atmosphere all whilst delivering a
top-notch result.

Over 15 years cutting hair professionally, trained and qualified at Toni and Guy
academy new oxford street London where I assisted and worked on countless BHA
shoots. Later moved to HOB salons and worked at their Camden academy cutting
hair and also began to work more in education. Later moved to Taylor Taylor
London as an art director and began to work with famous hairdresser Guido Palou.
I assisted Guido for 5 seasons and have worked globally for him, where I have
cut hair on shows and shoots for many brands from Prada to Louis Vuitton.

and pursues her love for art by drawing and painting.

Hailing from Greece, our hairstylist in Neukölln, Nansie, has well over a decade
experience. From hair salons to theatre productions, Nansie loves to work with
various hair types from curls, long hair with multiple layers, short haircuts to

them express their inner beauty and characteristics.

MASTER STYLIST / DIRECTOR

Born and trained in the south of Andalusia, our Berlin director and master
hairstylist Miguel started his career in 2000 followed by 8 years in London
where he gained experience in many salons incl. ESHK and catwalk shows (LFW).
Miguel specialises in short hair and loves working with curls. He has combined
this love with electronic music,  producing and releasing his own material.
After moving to Berlin he joined forces with Meg & Fernando opening ESHK Berlin,
bringing hair & music together in the up and coming areas of Neukölln and
Moabit.

RECEPTIONIST

Being Icelandic, our receptionist in Neukölln Thora’s actual name, Þórhildur, is
a bit too difficult for most Berliners. So if you’ve ever been worried about the
spelling of your name being too complicated while making an appointment over the
phone, there’s no need for that here, Thora definitely feels your pain.

Thora moved to Berlin from Reykjavik in 2017 after finishing her BA in
Literature and Creative Writing. She has years of experience in different kinds
of service jobs. She is now happy to work in the reception at our salon in
Neukölln where she can focus on her favourite part of any service job –
interacting with the clients.

ASSISTANT

Stephanie is our hair salon assistant at ESHK Neukölln, Berlin and aspires to be
a hairstylist one day. An American with Korean and Polish roots, she has lived
all over the world spending much of her time working in the travel industry and
participating in social justice and migration rights activism. Aside from being
a part of the ESHK community, Stephanie is a freelance copyeditor, enjoys taking
care of her plants, and studying languages.

MUSIC CURATOR

Tomoki Tamura started his journey with dance music in Japan and has come a long
way since. A move to London in 2004 inaugurated a series of Holic nights that
would eventually lead him to rock the floors of top London venues including
Fabric, Ministry of Sound, and Plastic People. Meanwhile, he had gained enough
experience and respect to earn himself a residency at the legendary club The END
/ AKA from 2007 until its closure in 2009. We’re honored to have him at ESHK to
curate the vinyl on sale in our record stores in Berlin.


THE SALON

We opened our hairdresser / friseur in Neukölln following the success of our
London salons. Our first Berlin hair salon and record store has been welcoming
clients since 2016. Like our London hairdressers we’ve put our own stamp on
style, design and feel of our salons. This shop unit in particular has a varied
history, from being a cigar shop to adult cinema. A lot of care and also
craftsmanship was put into the refurbishment. We opted for a mix of reclaimed
wood, as well as custom built furniture and bare unfinished walls. We did
however manage to retain a warm and welcoming place, keeping clients cosy during
the harsh Berlin winters at our Neukölln friseur salon.

Our Berlin locations feature a record store, where we often also host DJs and
producers. A carefully curated selection of vinyl by in-house music curator
Tomoki and director Miguel (aka Maik Yells) makes sure we’ve always got a great
stack of tracks for you.

You’ll be greeted by our ever so charming and super talented team. We are an
English speaking hairdresser in Berlin. However, with a highly experienced
international team adding languages from German to Polish and Icelandic.

From minimalist hair cuts and 80’s mullets, smooth balayage to crazy hair
colour, pop into one of our salons, relax and we’ll do the rest!

BOOKING TERMS

For all colour and treatment services a previous consultation, skin test and a
deposit is required to secure your booking.

Should you need to cancel or amend your appointment, we ask that you give us at
least 24 hours notice or 50% of the original service will be charged. Should you
not show at your scheduled appointment the full 100% of the service will be
charged.

Please note we don’t accept cancellations via e-mail or social media, please
call the branch in question.

Why we charge deposits for our bookings

We keep our schedule clear to see you. Not showing for your appointment means we
miss out and with such short notice can’t replace your slot with someone else.
That is why we kindly ask you to give us sufficient notice as a courtesy to both
our stylists and other clients. We can then help you to reschedule your
appointment and find a more suitable time and date.

Our prices

Please note our prices are subject to change and may vary slightly upon
consultation, depending on hair length and thickness.


COLOUR INFO

For colour appointments in London & Berlin:

Please make sure you come in at least 48 hours before your appointment for a
skin/patch test. If you are a regular customer of ours, please note a test is
required at least every six months.

Sensitivity can change over time, due to some change in circumstances or a
change in product formulation. With concerns around post-Covid skin sensitivity
(even if you haven’t tested positive), we kindly ask all colour clients to have
the skin test done. We just want to make sure you’ll be fine at the time of your
appointment. You will be asked to sign a form with regards to this procedure
when you come to have the test done. Without it we will unfortunately not be
able to see you.

For all bleach customers please note we strongly advise you to not wash your
hair 48 hours prior to your appointment. It is common to feel slight discomfort
/ irritation to the scalp up to 48 hours post appointment.

Our colour products are by Wella Professional (London, Berlin & Toronto),
Schwarzkopf Professional (NY), Oway Organic (all salons) and Pulp Riot (London &
Berlin). The Wella ColourTouch range used for semi-permanent colouring is
ammonia free.

Colour and haircut appointments can be booked online, should you require any
assistance please call us.

Colour appointments: please pop into the salon at least 48hrs before your
appointment for a skin test. Without a signed patch test form, we will not be

Gender neutral pricing: we have removed references to gender in our pricing. If
