Our wedding is on a Sunday. Yes, not on a Friday. Not Saturday. Sunday. Yes,
seriously. Although we both live and work in Vancouver, BC, for about 5 years
now, both our families are missing us terribly in Edmonton, AB. So that’s why
Edmonton was the ideal choice for our “destination” (not really) wedding. We
both love fall due to its bright and vibrant colours, and September is also one
of those rare times when it’s not snowing in Edmonton. We picked a sweet venue
called the Snow Valley Lodge, and we hope you like it! In the winter Snow Valley
is a good place to ski and snowboard, and during the snowless months it’s a
great place to party!

TO ALL OUR GUESTS ABOUT OUR WEDDING. WE ARE STILL IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING IT

Daniel

Daniel was born and raised in the frozen tundra of Edmonton, Alberta. His family
is big and Jewish, and they can be a bit loud sometimes. Daniel grew up as the
middle child to two sisters and is referred to as “the favorite child”. While
studying design at Grant MacEwan University, Daniel developed a crush on a cute
girl named Elena. After showing Elena the wonders of Edmonton, the two
became attached at the hip and had a cat together.

Elena

Elena was born and raised in Russia and then her family moved to Edmonton in
2007. Her family is very Russian, they speak Russian, and they all sound angry
whenever they speak Russian (although that’s how a calm Russian sounds). Elena
picked Grant MacEwan University to pursue her design dreams, and that’s where
she met Daniel! It all started with a fun movie night at WEM (how Edmontonian),
and Daniel and Elena have been pretty inseparable since.
