A free-to-play online multiplayer word game, founded in 2009, where players take
turns building words in a crossword-puzzle style manner, similar to other
classic board games.

Words With Friends is easy to learn, can help strengthen vocabulary knowledge,
and will provide hours of mentally stimulating, entertaining brain puzzles.


DIFFERENCES BETWEEN WORDS WITH FRIENDS 2 AND WORDS WITH FRIENDS ONLINE


CLASSIC GAME

In this timeless game mode, two players take turns laying out words on the game
board from their rack of seven tiles, starting at the center square. The goal
for both players is to try and play words with the highest word scores possible.
If a player uses all seven tiles in one turn, they will receive bonus points for
a Bingo! The trickiest part is figuring out how to connect new words to existing
words on the board while maximizing usage of the bonus squares, such as Triple
Word (TW) or Triple Letter (TL) to increase your word score.

This game mode is also available on the Words With Friends 2 app; however, you
can play the Words With Friends Classic Game online from your desktop.




WORDS WITH FRIENDS 2 EXCLUSIVE GAME MODES AND EVENTS

For those who are ready to go beyond the Words With Friends Classic experience
and challenge their vocabulary skills in other game modes, the Words With
Friends 2 mobile app offers a much wider range of options! With a variety of
single-player, two-player, and multiplayer modes available, there is something
in Words With Friends 2 for every play style.

The Words With Friends 2 app also allows players to participate in a slate of
different timed events and challenges. Every week there’s something new for
players to complete for amazing rewards!

BOOST YOUR WORD GAME IN SOLO CHALLENGE

This single-player game mode puts players against computer opponents, called
WordMasters, in a short, five-round game. With fun weekly themes and an array of
prizes, such as Mystery Boxes and themed badges, Solo Challenge puts your skills
to the test and rewards you based on your level and progress. Be sure to play
the entire Solo Challenge as quickly as you can, because a new challenge will
reset your progress each week.



SWITCH IT UP WITH WORD WHEEL

With no opponents and no timer, players will be given a ‘Wheel’ of seven letters
from which they’ll make as many anagrams as they can, by connecting the letters
together. This is a great game mode for those looking to relax and unwind as
well as earn rewards for winning! This game mode is only available at specific
times during the week, so players should keep an eye out to make sure they don’t
miss it!



BRUSH UP ON YOUR SKILLS IN DAILY WORD PLAY

Earn Mystery Boxes and develop your late-game strategy with Daily Word Play!
Players will be given a board pre-filled with words, and it's up to you to find
the best available play. If you score the needed amount of points in Daily Word
Play you can unlock a mystery box!



CHALLENGE FAMILIAR CHARACTERS IN FRIENDLY FACE OFF

This unique, single-player challenge only happens once a month, but you won’t
want to miss it. Players will receive a game challenge from a computer opponent
modeled after a recognizable character or sometimes, even a famous celebrity! If
you can out-play the opponent enough times to complete the challenge, you will
earn an exclusive Profile Frame - plus bragging rights, of course!

PLAY WORDS AT FULL SPEED IN QUICK PLAY EVENTS

Quick Play keeps players on their toes! Players are given one of a rotating
selection of fast, player versus player, minigames. Earn more stars to rank
higher on the leaderboard and claim bigger rewards. Depending on your rank when
the event ends, your Mystery Box reward could include Coins, Power Ups, and Tile
Style paint to use in the app!



GO HEAD-TO-HEAD IN DUELS

In this competitive player versus player mini-game, players are matched against
a random opponent in real-time and must play words as quickly as possible on 3
rotating game boards. The ultimate goal is to win by reaching 150 points before
their opponent does, thereby ranking higher on the Quick Play Events Leaderboard
to earn Mystery Box rewards!



BEAT THE CLOCK IN WORD RIVALS

Words Rivals is a player versus player mini-game wherein players take turns
making moves on the same game board. Players and their opponents will take turns
making moves ruled by a short-timer. The player to attain the highest score at
the end of 5 rounds is crowned the winner!



COMPETE TOGETHER IN LIGHTNING ROUND

Looking for a team game? Lightning Round might just be for you! In real time,
players are randomly put into a team of five players against an opposing team.
One player from each team taking turns making moves on the game board, the team
that reaches 1,000 points first wins!

COLLECT THEMED PRIZES IN REWARDS PASS

Rewards Pass is an exciting new event available exclusively on Words With
Friends 2. The Rewards Pass offers players several tiers of Free and Premium
rewards to unlock throughout a themed Season, each lasting four weeks, and
occurring on a continuous schedule each month.

Players can complete daily, weekly, Solo Challenge, and seasonal goals to earn
keys and reach higher tiers on the Rewards track including Tile Styles, Profile
Frames, Stickers, Mystery Boxes, additional Power-Ups, and Coins. Show off an
exclusive Badge for your profile once you have completed all the tiers!

JOIN A CLUB AND CLIMB THE LEADERBOARD

Looking for like-minded Wordies to match with? Clubs are small communities of
players you can create or join in Words With Friends 2. In a Club, you can find
other players of a similar skill level or playstyle to challenge, chat with one
another in the private Club Hub, and help your team climb the weekly
Leaderboards!

Players can collect Trophies for their Club just by playing their favorite game
modes, boosting its rank and unlocking higher Leagues. The higher their Club’s
rank by the end of the weekly Leaderboard, the more Club Coins each member will
earn which can be spent on unlocking exclusive rewards in the Club Store such as
Coins, Power Ups, Tile Styles, and Profile Frames!

EARN MYSTERY REWARDS IN FLASH EVENTS

Flash events appear on Friday only, and are limited time events where players
can complete a goal to earn a Mystery Box containing Rewards Pass keys,

UNLOCK PROFILE BADGES IN WEEKLY CHALLENGES
