OUR MISSION Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District is committed to improving the health and comfort of Alameda County residents by controlling mosquitoes and limiting the transmission of mosquito-borne diseases. SERVICES We provide services including addressing mosquito issues, providing mosquitofish, identifying insects, and inspecting standing water. LOCAL MOSQUITOES There are over 2500 different species of mosquitoes throughout the world, of which, 150 species occur in the United States, 53 species occur in California, and 22 species occur in Alameda County.
