YOU’RE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN ESCAPE THE ICE PALACE

Aren’t the holidays a magical time of year? The holidays bring out the best in
everyone. But this year, there has been some dark magic. An evil sorcerer has
cast a hex over the land and covered it with snow and ice. Fortunately, there’s
a counter spell to reverse the hex, but it’s locked it away in a dark, cold, ice
palace. Luckily, the sorcerer left clues and puzzles that, if solved correctly,
reveal the counter spell. Race against your coworkers – can your team break the
hex first?

YOUR EVENT INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE REVIEW YOUR INSTRUCTIONS

No need to prepare in advance - we will explain everything else once you arrive!
For your own information, here are some details regarding how it will run:

 * For the best possible experience, participants should join from a computer or
   tablet and join from the Zoom app, rather than the web version. Participants
   joining via the web version occasionally run into problems annotating the
   puzzles.
 * While participants are in the waiting room, they will be prompted to test
   their audio. If anyone has trouble, we will help them troubleshoot once they
   arrive. Our team will be on the link already.
 * Exactly at the start time, we will let your team into the room (but not
   before). You will be greeted by an emcee who will get everyone excited and
   explain the rules, then break you out into teams.
 * We typically randomize the teams, but you are welcome to determine team
   assignments yourself - just be sure to get them to us no later than 24 hours
   in advance.
 * Once in teams, everyone will play the game with a live moderator and at the
   end we bring everyone back together to announce the winner!

You are all welcome to stay on for a few minutes afterward to rehash the
experience.
