BSSP - FAQs

FinFort Infotech LLP has been appointed by your Lender Bank to conduct a data
verification and credit evaluation of your Income Tax. FinFort is required to
collect your Income tax returns and other necessary data directly from the
Government Income Tax website.

We believe this online download process and your quick response to complete the
download shall facilitate faster processing of your loan application. We request
you to keep PAN and your login credentials for the Income Tax Website ready
prior to the data download session.

The new process and workflow on the Self Service Portal for download of your
Income Tax Data
Upon your expressing your interest to avail a loan with your Lender Bank and
having provided the basic information required, your Lender Bank sends you an
intimation email and SMS intimating you of FinFort being appointed to conduct a
data verification and credit evaluation of your Income Tax. This process
requires download of information directly the Income Tax website
(http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in) by log in through the Self Service Portal.
You will receive an email from FinFort with the link to the Self Service Portal
- clicking on the link will take you to the login page. The password to log in
is shared with you by SMS to the cell number shared by you with your Lender
Bank.

Upon Log in to the Self Service Portal, you will be taken to the Terms &
Conditions page. After acceptance of the Terms and Conditions, you will be
directed to the Procure the Information page where you can schedule and initiate
the download. If you need more clarity on the Terms and Conditions or the
process, you may click on the decline button and contact Your Lender Bank. You
can login again, accept the Terms & Conditions to continue the download process.

On the Procure Information page, you may initiate download immediately by
clicking on the "Download Now" button. You may alternatively schedule a time for
the download. You can schedule a time within the overall time set by your Lender
bank, which is usually 20 hours from their placing the order & you receiving the
initial email / sms. Upon clicking the "Download Now" button you will be
redirected to the Income Tax Website.



Please key in your Login Credentials in the screen above & click on Login. The
FinFort software will take over from there onwards and download the necessary
files / information. You may choose to view the entire download process or
decide to logout. If you chose to stay logged in, the system will automatically
log you out upon completion of the download. To ensure transparency, we allow
you to view the entire download process and a copy of all files downloaded will
be forwarded to you by email.

Q - I have already submitted hard / scanned copies of documents to Lender Bank -
Why the requirement of this online download process?

A - The new process established by you Lender Bank requires FinFort to collect
your Income tax returns and other necessary data directly from the Government
Income Tax website to conduct a data verification and credit evaluation of your
Income Tax. Hence we will not be able to use the hard / scanned copies submitted
to Lender Bank.

Q - How do I log into the Self Service Portal and how do I receive the User Name
& password for the same?

A - The Login link to the Self Service Portal to enable you to log into the
Income Tax website (http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in) and download the
documents will be sent by FinFort to your registered email ID and the password
will be sent to registered cell number provided by the Lender Bank.

Q - I have not received the email with Login link / SMS with Password. What do I
do?

A - FinFort sends the email with Login link / SMS with Password to your
registered contact details provided by the Lender Bank. If you have not received
the email with the login link / SMS or require any clarifications or support,
you may reach FinFort Customer Support at customersupport@finfort.ind.in or the
customer service numbers +91 (80) 46404242 / +91 8105811664. Please quote the
FinFort order number given above in your correspondence. FinFort will re-send
email with Login link / SMS with Password only to the primary / secondary (if
any) email ID / cell number provided by the Lender Bank. Upon speaking with
FinFort Customer Support, if you get to know that the email ID(s) / Cell
number(s) are incorrect, you will need to contact your Lender Bank to make the
corrections. This will require your Lender Bank to cancel the current order and
initiate a new order.

Q - Till when can I log into the Self Service Portal? How much time do I have to
complete the download?

A - You can login into the Self Service Portal at any time by clicking on the
link shared by you on email and entering the password shared on your cellphone.
The login is available till successful completion of download or cancellation of
the order, whichever is earlier. You are expected to complete the download
within the time set by your Lender Bank, which is normally 20 hours from their
placing the order (or such time as indicated by your Lender Bank) & you
receiving the initial email / sms. Early download shall facilitate faster
processing of your loan application.

Q - How long does the download process take?

A - The download typically takes between 5-10 minutes after initiating the
download. The time varies depending on the size of the files downloaded, the
internet speed and the traffic level on the Income Tax website. After you log
into the Income Tax website, the FinFort software will take over and download
the necessary files / information. You can view the entire download process or
decide to exit if you are in a hurry. If you chose to stay logged in, the system
will automatically log you out upon completion of the download. A copy of all
files downloaded will be forwarded to you by email.

Q - How secure and transparent is the download process?

A - FinFort has taken all possible precautions to ensure the safety of the data
downloaded. Additionally only you have access to this system generated link and
password to Log into the Self Service Portal. The password is not accessible by
any personnel of FinFort. Your login credentials (username, password and date of
birth) are being entered directly by you on the Income Tax Website. The password
is not stored by FinFort and is not known or visible to anyone other than you or
your authorised representative. To ensure transparency, we allow you to view the
entire download process and a copy of all files downloaded will be forwarded to
you by email.

Q - When I click on "Download Now" button nothing happens. What do I do?

A - This happens because your browser has blocked a pop up window. Most web
browsers include a feature to block pop-up windows. Follow the instructions
below to configure your web browser to allow pop-up windows

Google Chrome

 1. In the Google Chrome browser at the top right, click
 2. Click Settings.
 3. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings
 4. Under "Privacy," click Content settings
 5. Under "Pop-ups," select the option:

 * Allow all sites to show pop-ups

Firefox

 1. In Firefox click the icon with three horizontal bars in the upper right side
    of the browser toolbar
 2. Select Options (Windows) or Preferences (OS X).
 3. In the left sidebar, click on the Content icon to display the Content
    section.
 4. In the Pop-ups section, ensure the Block pop-up windows checkbox is
    unchecked

Internet Explorer

 1. In Internet Explorer under Tools menu (the gear icon on the far right),
    select Internet options. The Internet Options dialog box opens.
 2. Click on the Privacy tab.
 3. Under Pop-up Blocker ensure the Turn on Pop-up Blocker checkbox is unchecked

Safari (OS X)

 1. From the Safari menu, choose Preferences... and click the Security tab.
 2. Ensure the Block pop-up windows option is not checked. Unchecking this
    option will allow pop-ups.

Q - What do I need to have to be able to Log into the Self Service Portal and
complete the download?

A - You will require a PC / Laptop and an internet connection along with the
Login link and password to the Self Service Portal. You will also require your
login credentials (username, password and date of birth) for the Income Tax
Website. Incase you intend to do the download yourself and do not have the
password, we request you to collect the same from your CA / Lawyer or reset your
password.

Q - My Income Tax returns are filed by my CA / Lawyer. Can he / she do this
activity on my behalf?

A - Yes. Your CA / Lawyer can access this Self Service Portal to download the
documents on your behalf, provided you share the link you received on email and
the password you received through SMS with them.

Q - Can the Login / Password details for this Self Service Portal sent directly
to my CA / Lawyer by FinFort?

A - No. FinFort is only permitted to send the Login link / Password details to
youremail id / cell number provided by your Lender Bank. You can forward the
same to your CA / Lawyer.

Q - Is my username and password for the Self Service Portal getting known to
anyone else?

A - The link to access the Self Service Portal is system generated and the
password is sent by SMS to the email ID / cell number provided by your Lender
Bank. Only you will have access to this system generated link and password to
Login to the Self Service Portal. The password is not accessible by any
personnel of FinFort.

Q - What do I do if I need more clarity on the Terms and Conditions on the Self
Service Portal?

A - If you need more clarity on the Terms and Conditions or the process, you may
click on the decline button and contact Your Lender Bank. You can login again
after obtaining the necessary clarifications, accept the Terms & Conditions to
continue the download process.

Q - I do not remember my username and password for the Income Tax website. Can I
reset my password?

A - Your username to access the Income Tax website is your PAN number (in
CAPITALS). If you do not remember your password and are not able to obtain the
same from your CA / lawyer, you can reset your password by clicking on "Forgot
Password?" link next to the "Login" button or click on the following link
https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-Filing/ResetPassword/UserIDCapturePage.html.
You will see the following screen



Enter your User ID which is your PAN number (in CAPITALS) and enter the Captcha
code shown in the image (This will be different from the one shown above. If the
Captcha code is not legible, then click on next to the code to change it) and
then click on "Continue".

Select one of the options from the dropdown. If you select "Using OTP (PINs)"
and click on "Continue" then the following screen is shown



You can either choose "Registered Email ID and Mobile Number" (these are the
contact details available with Income Tax department) or you can choose (New
Email ID and Mobile Number). Depending on your choice, the link to reset your
password is sent to the Email ID along with an OTP to validate your identity.

By clicking on the link you receive in your Email, you will be taken to the
Income tax website where you can enter a New Password.

You can then login to the Income Tax website using your PAN number as username
and the New Password.

Q - Do I need to share my Income Tax login credentials with FinFort Customer
Support personnel?

A - Your Income Tax login password is confidential and you are requested NOT to
share the same with the FinFort Customer Support personnelon phone or on email.
FinFort Customer Support will not ask for the login credentials.

Q - Is my username and password for the IT Website getting stored or visible to
anyone else?

A - Your login credentials (username, password and date of birth) are being
entered directly by you on the Income Tax Website. Hence the password is not
stored by FinFort and is not known or visible to anyone other than you or any
person who you have shared the link with to do the download on your behalf.

Q - What do I do in case the Login into the Income Tax Website is unsuccessful
or the download aborts before completion of the entire download?

A - If the Income Tax website is working and you are unable to login, you may be
using the wrong password. Please recheck the password with your CA lawyer & try
again. Alternatively, reset your password and log in with the new password. The
password is case sensitive, so do check if the CAPS lock is on. If the download
is aborted after successful login to the Income Tax website, we request you to
reinitiate the download & login to the Income Tax website. In case you have
exited after successful login and the download from the Income Tax website is
aborted, you will be intimated about the download being unsuccessful. You are
required to log in again into the Self Service Portal and reinitiate the
download.

Q - What are the documents / information that are downloaded?

A - The documents downloaded are:

 1. IT Returns and Acknowledgement for previous years
 2. Form 26AS - This is a consolidated tax statement issued under Rule 31 AB of
    Income Tax Rules to PAN holders. This statement with respect to a financial
    year will include details of:
    * tax deducted at source (TDS);
    * tax collected at source (TCS); and
    * advance tax/self-assessment tax/regular assessment tax etc. deposited in
      the bank by the taxpayers (PAN holders).

You will receive a copy of the documents that are downloaded through email.
