Collegedunia is visited by over 20 million users monthly to get solutions to
admission and college-related queries. Hostel search has been one of the top
three search queries (along with courses and admissions) on their portal, which
they typically address by sharing on-campus hostel related information collected
from official university and college sources. However, with limited campus
inventory available, a majority of migrant students are left to fend for housing

According to a report by top real estate consulting firm Knight Frank, only 20%
of the current demand for student housing is fulfilled by university-operated

Collegedunia was founded in 2014 by Sahil Chalana, an alumnus of BITS Pilani. He
has also founded Zoutons and 3.14 Digital. Chalana previously worked as a
Product Developer with INSEAD, France.
