SAFER AND SUPPORTIVE SALISBURY

Bringing positive changes to the Salisbury community

WHAT'S ON

WHO WE ARE

SAFE PLACES

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

WE WELCOME YOU TO OUR WEBSITE

Safer and Supportive Salisbury (SaSS) is a group of individual volunteers and
representatives of local community groups and charities. We are also supported
by representatives of the County, City and other public service providers.  The
group’s aim is to make the city of Salisbury a safe, supportive and inclusive
community for everyone who lives or works in the city and for all visitors to
Salisbury and surrounding areas.

Totally independent and receiving no statutory funding, all the funds SaSS uses
to carry out projects are raised from donations, grant applications or
sponsorship. The aim is to create and undertake pieces of action to promote
health and wellbeing and to influence and shape outcomes that support the local
area and those who live, work or visit the city.

SaSS shares, networks, signposts and communicates good practice and research. It
promotes events and activities in its own right, as well as those sponsored,
supported or organised by member community groups and organisations. Membership
of SaSS is open to all local groups who support our aims, without charge.
For more about our structure see who we are.

In #VolunteersWeek SaSS Chair Anne thanks local volunteers: "Now that we can see
light at the end of this very long and dark tunnel, it seems timely to use the
theme of Volunteers Week as a chance to say a big thank you to everyone who was
part of that effort.” https://t.co/iy7prsO3MZ

#VolunteersWeek SaSS Chair Anne Trevett said - From the moment the first
lockdown was announced back in March 2020, we were both heartened & humbled by
the extraordinary response from people all over the city, offering help &
support to the most vulnerable in our local community. https://t.co/k8MaDLmp41
