I bought this fragrance because I love most all the Chanel scents. And I
bought this because it is my birth year. What I love about this fragrance is
that it's so different from other Chanel fragrances that are mass marketed. I
like wearing an unusual scent and I get a lot of compliments on this scent.
It's my favorite among all my fragrances.

Very Chanel, but remarkably subtle in its blend of synthetic musks,
hesperidic citrus notes, soft/dry woods and warmed by a touch of honey or
amber. Definitely a unisex fragrance, one whose subtlety and closeness to the
skin allows it to be enjoyed by the wearer but never offend others within a
room: i.e., discrete diffusiveness, minimal trail. Moderate duration. Wears
like a finely tailored, freshly -pressed cotton shirt and 1957 does adhere to
adjacent clothing! My wife loves it when I am wearing 1957 so it has become
is my go-to scent. Thank you Olivier Polge!!

A totally unique fragrance that I suppose is best described as 'floral'
(violets?), but so much more complex. Without being too sweet or powdery,
this parfum is light and fresh, with all -day staying power. I ordered this
fragrance after receiving a complimentary mini vial. Sometimes 'samples' seem
to be better products than the normal sized bottles. But the full sized
parfum "1957" I bought recently was definitely as lovely as the sample.

Beautiful scent—I purchased both the 1957 and No. 22, hoping to find a new
“signature,” but I love them both so much and can’t decide. This scent, to
me, is as described with woody notes and hints of powder and honey and is
most decidedly a statement.

Bad Customer Service - I have ordered 1957 twice and it was returned as
undeliverable twice. I have not had this problem before. I have called twice
