(Must be at least 6 years old) Helps students feel comfortable in the water by:
• Enter and exit water safely • Submerge mouth, nose and eyes • Blow bubbles •
Swim on front and back using arm and leg action • Float on front and back •

Builds on the skills with practice in deeper water by: • Jump into deep water

Kids' SAFARI is a before and after school program offered for children in
kindergarten through grade 5. The focus of these programs is on school-age
childcare and enrichment opportunities designed to meet the changing needs of

Preschool SAFARI is designed for families who desire an early learning education
experience with a childcare component available. There will be a licensed
preschool teacher giving preschool instruction for 2.5 hours during the day with
a paraprofessional.

EARLY LEARNING













Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is based on the idea that parents
provide their child's first and most significant learning environment and
parents are the children's first and most enduring teachers.ECFE works to
support you as a parent/caregiver and to strengthen and empower families.  The
goal is to enhance the ability of all parents and other family members to
provide the best possible environments for their child's learning and
development.

Early Childhood Screening

Early Childhood Screening helps identify children who may benefit from early
childhood services before they enter kindergarten and connects you to
appropriate programs and resources.

kindergarten and beyond!
Starting preschool is an exciting milestone in your child's life.  Our licensed
teachers set up classrooms to help children discover a love for learning while
working on social emotional skills that will help get them ready for lifelong
learning.








Bloomington Preschool classes are for 3 and 4 year-olds.  Children have both
large and small group learning experiences in literacy, writing, math, music,
art, and science.

Kids' SAFARI is a before and after school program, as well as non-school day
care, offered for children in kindergarten through grade 5.  The focus of the
program is on school-age childcare and enrichment opportunities designed to meet
the changing needs of children and families.  Kids' SAFARI is located in

YOUTH ENRICHMENT


This program offers a variety of summer, school- year and evening enrichment,
education and recreation opportunities for children of all ages.  Programs are
available on an on-going basis at a variety of school locations throughout the

SLAM is Bloomington Community Education's Summer camp program.  We offer over

Adult Enrichment classes are designed with adults in mind.  Classes are taught
by professionals and members of the community who have a passion and expertise
