Dashboard view puts your Dashboards right next to your work. Use Dashboard view
to ensure your team can easily find the data they need.

Dashboard views can be added to Spaces, Folders, Sprint Folders, Lists, and
Sprint Lists.

Feature availability and limits vary by plan and user role. Learn more

DASHBOARD VIEW

Create a Dashboard view from scratch. Or select a Dashboard template for task
tracking, team collaboration, time-tracking metrics, project management, client
collaboration, or Sprint planning.

Dashboard templates contain pre-set cards so the view is ready in seconds. The
cards do have options that can be customized, for example, time range, including
subtasks, or applying filters.

DASHBOARD VIEWS

A Dashboard view shows the task data from the Space, Folder, Sprint Folder,
List, or Sprint List where it's created. The particular data and the way it
displays depends on how the Dashboard and its cards are set up.

When a Dashboard view is in a duplicated location or a location created from a
template, the Dashboard view is not duplicated. This functionality is coming
soon.

CREATE A DASHBOARD VIEW

Create a custom Dashboard view from Dashboard templates or start from scratch.

CREATE A DASHBOARD VIEW FROM A TEMPLATE

Dashboard templates differ slightly depending on location. For example, Sprint
Lists have a Sprint Reporting template.

To create a Dashboard view from a template:

 1. From the Views Bar at the top of a Space, Folder, Sprint Folder, List, or
    Sprint List click + View.

    * You can check the Private view box if you want other people to access this
      view.
    * You can check the Pin view box if you want the view to always display in
      your Views Bar.
    * You can also do this later.
 2. Select Dashboard.
    * You can name and customize some Dashboard view settings from the Customize
Dashboard modal on the right. You can also do this later.
 3. From the Create a Dashboard modal, select a template.
By default, data from the entire location is included. If you select a Space
or a Folder, you can unselect some locations within the Space or Folder.
Data from those locations will be excluded from the Dashboard view.
To unselect a location within a Space or a Folder:
    * From the What data do you want to visualize? modal click the Location
      dropdown.
    * Click the box to unselect one or more lower levels of the Hierarchy. For
example, if the location is a Space, you can unselect Folders or Lists but
      not the Space.

 4. Click Create Dashboard.
    * You can add or edit the cards on your Dashboard.

CREATE A DASHBOARD VIEW FROM SCRATCH

You cannot add a Sprint Burndown or Sprint Burnup card to a Sprint Folder or a
Space.

To create a Dashboard view from scratch:

 1. From the Views Bar at the top of a Space, Folder, List, or Sprint List
    click + View.

    * You can uncheck the Private view box if you want other people to access
      this view.
    * You can check the Pin view box if you want the view to always display in
      your Views Bar.
 2. Select Dashboard.
    * You can name and customize some Dashboard view settings from the Customize
Dashboard modal on the right. You can also do this later.
 3. Select Start from scratch.
 4. Add cards to your Dashboard.
When creating a Dashboard view from scratch, the card location defaults to
the location you're adding the view to.

SHARE A DASHBOARD VIEW

You can share a Dashboard view with anyone in your Workspace. Currently, you
cannot publicly share a Dashboard view. To share with someone who's not a part
of your Workspace, you'll need to invite them to your Workspace by sharing the
Space, Folder, or List.

Spaces cannot be shared with guests.

You can share a Dashboard from the view or from Dashboards Hub.

To share a Dashboard view from the view:

 1. From the open view click Share in the upper-right corner.
 2. At the bottom of the Share modal, click Share this view.

    * From the Share this view modal, select from the share and permissions
      options.

To share from the Dashboards Hub:

 1. In Dashboards Hub, right-click the view's name. Or to the far-right of the
view's name, click the ellipsis... menu.
 2. Select Sharing & Permissions.
 3. From the Share this view modal, select from the following options:
    * Private link: Copy the link to share with anyone who has permissions to
see this Space, Folder, or List.
You can only set View only or Edit permissions on a Dashboard view.
    * Permissions: Click to change a person or Team's permissions.
By default, everyone who can see the location can see the Dashboard view.
      To set permissions:
      * Click Permissions.
You can click Edit all to change everyone's permissions. Or you can
change people's permissions one at a time.
      * Protect view: Protect the view from accidental changes.
      * Private view: Make the view visible only to you.

SAVE DASHBOARD VIEW AS A PDF

If you need to share a Dashboard view without inviting someone to your
Workspace, save the view as a PDF.

To save Dashboard view as a PDF:

 1. In the Views Bar, click the Dashboard view's name.
 2. In the View Options modal, select More Settings.
 3. In the More Settings modal, click Save as PDF.

PROTECT AND UNPROTECT A DASHBOARD VIEW

A Dashboard view is unprotected by default. Protect a Dashboard view to prevent
settings from being edited.

You must have Edit permissions to protect and unprotect a Dashboard view.

To protect a Dashboard view:

 1. From an open Dashboard view below the Views Bar, click Protect view.
 2. In the Protect view modal, click Protect layout. You can also:
    * Add a message to people who have permission to unprotect this view.
    * Click Manage permissions to give or remove Edit permissions.

FILTER A DASHBOARD VIEW

Use Dashboard filters and card filters to organize your Dashboard view. For a
more granular view use mixed filters. Filters will only return data from the
location where the Dashboard view was created. You also cannot add another
location via a filter.

DASHBOARD VIEWS SETTINGS

Use the Dashboard view location header to do things like favorite, pin, and make
this a default view for everyone.

In the Views Bar, click the Dashboard view name to duplicate and move the view
to another location.

You can also use Dashboards Hub to manage your Dashboard views in one central
location alongside your other Dashboards.

DRILL-DOWN IN DASHBOARD VIEW

Drill-down view provides more granular detail. You can drill down into Pie, Bar,
Battery, Line, Calculation, Total time in Status, and Task List cards.
