CLIO

PROJECT LEAD

2019 – PRESENT

 * Lead designer, developer, and technical manager for CLIO, an open-source
framework for creating digital educational interactives.
 * Directed multiple cross-disciplinary teams for independent host institution
   development cycles.
 * Researched, planned and drafted iterative proposals for community workshops.
 * Compared and qualified open-source software development libraries for project
   integration and long-term sustainability.
 * Created functional interpretive technology prototypes based on practical
   feedback and technical specifications.
 * Evaluated prototypes using established models alongside a team of educational
   professionals.
 * Completed ethical reviews to consider the implications for the institution,
its professionals and the larger community.
 * Collaborated with educators to create educational experiences that utilized
digital interactive technologies as an integrated part of traditional
   interpretation.
 * Adapted common pedagogy techniques into discrete, template-based interactive
   activities for informal education facilitation.
 * Created comprehensive documentation with related guides for specific
   institutional roles.

Facilitator Mode lets you select which activities to display as part of your
exhibit. Preview and get the details on activities before choosing. Once you've
chosen, you can enter Exhibit Mode. Exhibit Mode displays the selected
activities for visitors. Activities can be grouped together and rearranged to
create Narratives. Each Activity is based on an Activity Type; a templated
interaction where all you need to do is replace the text and media. This type
allows you to visually compare two images of Pacific Northwest salmon. Look
Closer buttons allow for spontaneous exploration into visitor interests.

POP

PROJECT LEAD

2019 – PRESENT

 * Lead designer, developer, maker and technical manager for POP, a toolkit for
creating low-cost, open hardware digital touchscreen kiosks.
 * Researched, planned and drafted iterative proposals related to the kiosk's

 * Compared and qualified open-source hardware assemblies and software
   distributions for long-term sustainability.
 * Developed an easy-to-clone operating system image for creating pop-up, web
   application-based kiosks.
 * Produced touchscreen kiosks assemblies for use in exhibits by local
   institutions.
 * Created comprehensive documentation with related guides for creating and
   configuring the kiosk.

The POP kiosk is self-contained and works with modular accessories. This allows
the kiosk to be integrated into different scenarios. This clamp can be used to
attach the kiosk to tables at pop-up events. These parts come apart to allow for
easier storage and transportation. The case allows for easy access to the
internal computer for maintenance. Everything is modular and 3D printable,
offering infinite material combinations.
