The styles of music I teach are Rock, Metal, Blues, Funk and Jazz. All levels are welcome. From an absolute begginer struggling with his first songs. To advanced players who are looking for motivation, feeling "stuck" on their playing level or just need to expand their musical horizon. Kids classes are also available (6 years or older) and courses for adults with limited time that decided to learn the electric or acoustic guitar. My responsibility as a guitar instructor is to make sure we take advantage of all the time you can give me and get the maximum and fastest results. The lessons are personally tailored to each students needs, goals, level of playing, strengths and weaknesses. From teaching simple songs, to the point of creating a professional guitar player. Knowing what we are playing . ''Why this chord ?'', "Why this scale ?''. In theory we find the answers for those who pursue a deeper musical knowledge and care about commmunicating with other mucisians, Improvising, analysing songs and writting their own music. REPERTOIRE - MUSICAL VOCABULARY Learning songs, solos, phrases or riffs that we always dreamed of playing. Something that is very entertaining and satisfactory but also very useful. Copying all the ''sounds'' other guitar players make through the guitar and borrowing ideas , will later help us create our very personal sound and style. IMPROVISATION ONE OF THE MOST CREATIVE PROCESSES OF THE ELECTRIC AND THE ACOUSTIC GUITAR. COMBINING ALL THE KNOWLEDGE WE HAVE BUILT BUT ALSO THE EXPERIENCE FROM THE MUSIC WE HAVE LISTENED TO, THROUGH THE YEARS. WE CREATE OUR OWN SOLOS, ON THE SPOT. A VERY SPECIAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL EXPERIENCE. IMPROVISATION IS SOMETHING WE FOCUS QUITE A LOT ON, DURING OUR BLUES AND JAZZ CLASSES. COMPOSITION - ARRANGEMENT -RECORDING BESIDES THE THEORY BEHIND COMPOSITION. WE WILL MONITOR THE WORK OF SEVERAL ARTISTS AND TALK ABOUT PATTERNS, CLISES AND TRICKS THAT WILL HELP US COMPOSE OUR MUSICAL PIECES. WE WILL ALSO TALK ABOUT MUSICAL ARRANGEMENT FROM THE GUITAR PLAYER PERSPECTIVE . FINALLY WE WILL TALK RECORDING BASICS AND HOW TO SET UP OUR HOME STUDIO. IMAGES VIDEOS BIOGRAPHY I was born in Athens in 1989. My first encounter with music was at a very young age through my father Angel Skordilis, who was a musician. All my early music influences, that were introduced to me by my father, where those classic 70’s blues – rock – country styles. I didn’t pick up the guitar until the age of 16. After spending a summer with my father touring around Crete i decided that this is what i want to do in my life. So i picked up the axe with the goal of joining my fathers band and be a part of this! And so it happened. A year later i started touring with him and for the next 7 years of my life i played over 300 shows everywhere in Greece. From the smallest bar, to the most beautiful beach, to the festivals and big stages! After playing for 3 years mostly with the help of my father (and guitar pro ). I decided that i needed to go to a higher level and get academic knowledge and also find a tutor that would make me evolve as a player cause the father son teaching wasn’t really working ( you got to pay to take it seriously ). So i started lessons with the renowned guitar tutor Ioannis Anastassakis. I studied modern guitar techniques and at the same time took my electric guitar teaching diploma through Univercity of West London. In 2007 i released my first video clip of the song ”As simple as that” and later on in 2010 me and my father released the recond ”Taksidiotis ton kairon” by mirror records. At the same year i won the 1st prize at Volos Electric Guitar Competion. I released more videos and songs later on that are available in youtube. At the age of 20 i started teaching guitar and realized how much I love helping people, that want to learn music, achieve their personal goals. Whether they want to play a song for their friends or be professionals, i realy enjoy the process of helping them make it happen. At 22 i started lessons with Theodore Ziras to expand my metal techniques and repertoire and later on i studied jazz guitar and improvisation with Grigoris Danis at Lab Athens and took private theory and sight reading classes with Theodore Kalantzakos. In 2015 Bob Katsionis (Firewind, Outloud), one of the most talented and influencial people i know, did me the honors of taking me in his band Outloud. I participated in 2 European and 3 Greek tours with these guys. We recently released out latest album ''Virtual Hero Society'' and we are getting ready for our next tour.
